This is one of our favorite experiences in Iceland. Adam took us to see so many incredible sights. He was full of all sorts of interesting information about Iceland and he worked hard to make our tour fit our needs. This is a FULL day. Be prepared for changes in the weather. I would also say to pack heavier snacks/sandwiches for the evening. You will stop to eat lunch, but around dinner it was a bit harder to find something open or around since we were in nature experiencing amazing sites.

This tour is the ideal way to see the many amazing wonders of Iceland's south coast. Adam, our guide, picked us up at our hotel and we made our way from Reykjavik to the west coast of the island and then back. Due to the small size of the tour, we were able to make many stops: waterfalls, black sand beaches, and glaciers.We saw some amazing caves and rock formations and walked among icebergs during low tide. We were in complete awe of Iceland's natural wonders. Adam is one of the most knowledgeable, helpful guides you will find - he can fill you in on the history, geology, and culture of this island nation.

I can't say enough about this trip or about Adam and Try Iceland. We wanted to pack as much as possible into one day, and Adam made it happen. We were lucky enough to be the only two people on the trip, so it ended up being extremely private and personalized. The tour fits maximum 6 people anyway, so I doubt there would have been much of a difference.
Adam was an amazing driver, particularly in difficult conditions. He is relaxed, easy-going, focused on safety, and knows all of the best spots. He has been Iceland many many years, so can answer just about any question about culture, geology, language, etc. At one stop, he took my boyfriend and I on a little guided hike up a stream in a canyon to view a hidden waterfall. It was a fairly simple hike, and really close to the other major tourist attractions. After we finished, he asked if we enjoyed it and whether we would like to try something even more adventurous. We immediately said "yes!". Even though he had a long day of driving ahead of him, he proceeded to drive us about 30 minutes north on the highland road, where there were literally no other tourists or cars. Then, we parked and hiked a remote canyon river for about 20 minutes until we reached the most beautiful and otherworldly waterfall. The snow just started to fall, and it was really incredible. He took photos for us and made us feel really comfortable. Honestly I couldn't have found a better trip. At my hotel, I spoke to some other travelers who booked other tour companies, almost all of which were larger (10-20 people). They couldn't believe what we got for just a little more money than them. Seriously book this you will not be disappointed. Full disclaimer: we normally stay at 5* resorts, and are super picky. I would book Try Iceland again no question...

My husband and I took the first South Coast and Glacier Lagoon tour of the season with Adam yesterday. We left just after 07:30 and returned around midnight after traveling with Adam in his SuperJeep more than 500 miles on and off the Ring Road from Reykjavik along the South Coast to Jökulsárlón, the world-famous glacier lagoon. Adam was exceptionally knowledgeable, engaging, and thoughtful, and his efforts, safe driving, and friendliness — along with all the extraordinary sights we saw during the day — were what made this tour so memorable. We’ll be back to Iceland as soon as we can, and when we return, we’re sure we’ll be booking another trip with Adam and TryIceland. Thank you, Adam!

My parents took three different trips with Adam around Christmas time, I also joined them once - we are all impressed! Not only with the indisputable beauty of Iceland but mostly with Adam's performance. He is very informative, patient and definitely passionate about sharing his knowledge. Tours are offering not only popular highlights of the area but also his "little discoveries"- places usually unknown, but equally breathtaking. No rush, photo stops on demand but at the same time no waste of time - not to come back earlier of course, just to show you more! And last but not least, he's a very good driver, definitely appreciated in the middle of winter. Oh, and Adam did his best to let my parents see the northern lights, even though the phenomenon was not easily cooperating. Thank you so much! Also Kinga is very fast and precise with responding to emails. We definitely recommend traveling with Try Iceland!

Words can't describe how wonderful this excursion was! Hands down, it was the best thing we did while spending a week in Iceland! Adam was an amazing guide. We went near the end of October, the days were getting shorter, and Adam made sure we were able to see everything we could, as well as making sure we spent enough time at each stop. The trip was full of waterfalls, secret waterfalls, volcanos, black sand beaches, glaciers, and lagoons -- all equally breathtaking. The day itself is long (about 15-16 hours) but well worth it. The super jeep gives you the comfort of your own personal car, including USB chargers and wifi, while having a small, personalized tour. On our way back into Reykjavik, the sky was perfect for viewing the Northern Lights, and we made a few additional stops in order to watch the show. Adam was kind enough to take some pictures for us of the lights, since we were unable to get our camera to photograph them. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to get the most out of their visit to Iceland.
