Mount Batur jeep sunset is an alternatif way to enjoy the active volcano Batur surroundings area with the tour start at noon which means you do not need wake up very early for the tour.
Your journey will begin with pick up from your hotel in Bali then drive safely to Mount Batur, once we arrive you will greated by professional jeep driver who will be taking you on the adventures.
First visit we will be at bukit catu view poin where you will see Mount Abang, Lake Batur and Mount Agung with great scenery surroudings, you also will pasing by the locals farm.
Next Your lovely guide will drive you to visit Black lava field formed eruptions on 1963. As you the sun goes down we will drive you higher up at Black sand where you will enjoy the sunset time.

We went out with Gede Suantika today.
Very friendly and calm man, who could tell us all about the area.
It really is a wonderful adventure to get up the mountain. Took a lot of beautiful photos and videos.
We consciously made the choice for a sunset trip, but we were assured that the sunrise trip would be even more beautiful. Maybe something for next time ;)
In any case, we highly recommend this tour/guide.

Amazing trip through the Volcanic rock and sand to watch the sunset. Crew were so welcoming and obliging. Put in on your bucket list of things to do in Bali. Would highly recommended !

Good tour, I recommend! Great guides, great experience.
(Would have preferred to have a bit more information about the itinerary, there were a few surprises.)
The driver picked us up at our hotel, very punctual. On our way, we stopped at a coffee plantation for a tasting, and after a restaurant for lunch. 30 min each. Both nice, but we had lunch before starting the tour and did a similar coffee tasting the day before.
When arriving at mount batur, we met our jeep driver, Zero. He took us to the black lava fields, where we had some time to explore. Then drove to a different spot for watching the sunset. There's an option to hike up to the highest point of the caldera, appr 30 min, pretty steep hike. After the sunset, we went back with the jeep to the car, and drove back to the hotel.
Both drivers had good English, were very nice, accomodating, did everything for our comfort and enjoyment (taking photos, bringing rain ponchos), couldn't have asked for more.
The mountain is a lot less crowded for sunset than sunrise, a lot better to enjoy the nature.
Highly recommend this sunset tour!

We had Mawe collect us from our hotel, he was really friendly and helpful. We then had Karpa drive us in the Jeep up to the black lava and the viewpoint. He took some fantastic photos of us and even provided us with a snack to eat while waiting for th sunset. I would definitely recommend this experience!
