Our guide will take you to real local bar and izakaya, difficult to find for foreigners.
This experience is not just for local foods and drinks, give you the opportunity to connect with local people. Normally we will guide you two places, "Kawaramachi" and "Kiyamachi"
Kawaramachi: It's definitely the heart of Kyoto, and you can enjoy vibrant atmosphere there. We will show you hidden alley as well, with local tour guide.
Kiyamachi: it feels there are many hideaway local restaurants, and bars. You can enjoy authentic and traditional vibes of Kyoto.

We booked a pub crawl our first night in Kyoto and had a great time! Our guide, Kazuto was so much fun, went out of his way to make sure everyone had a wonderful night and took us to three different places. We had drinks, sake, whiskey, good food and great conversation. Our group was a mix of people from around the world and everyone got along. There were a number of single travelers and a couple of families. Loved Kazuto’s enthusiasm and funny stories. We’d do it again and highly recommend as an easy way to get to know an area with some nightlife.

we went to three locations - first was a traditional izakaya with a tatami mat where we shared small plates of bar food (think karaage, sashimi, etc.). the second was a sake bar where we shared a flight of 5 sakes with appetizers such as smoked mackerel, smoked cheese, etc., and the third was a small bar with a good selection of bottled liquor. i particularly enjoyed their selection of japanese whiskeys. the owner of this bar was very nice, he spoke english and shared some interesting stories about the autographs on the wall of his bar.
we split the bill in the first two bars, so i recommend bringing cash. the third was cash on delivery - there was no food involved, so you only pay for what you drink.
our guide was sayaka, whose name is apparently common in japan, but whose personality is definitely one of a kind. she was fun, patient, and enthusiastic about swapping stories with our group.
as we walked to the bars, we took short detours where sayaka shared interesting tidbits about some of the well-known shrines we saw. she also shared some of the common practices when visiting a shrine.
i liked that we walked down alleys a typical tourist would not have known, so we were introduced to bars that were off the beaten path, so to speak.
i would recommend this tour, it’s a fun way to spend an evening and learn new things.

First of all, Mass was friendly from the start. He took us to a locals Izakaya where the group shared a few different specialities and cocktails. Everything was delicious. Then, we went to a tiny sake bar for a tasting. We tasted a lot! Last official stop on the tour was a super cool private tiny whisky bar. At this point, you might think we had a lot to drink, however, the group decided to keep the party going at a local karaoke bar. The bar was packed with a fun atmosphere and we all stayed for hours. Masa stayed with us the whole time! We highly recommend this for a night in Kyoto. Meet some cool people, and check out some hidden spots. End the night with a party. Do it.

Nous avons été accueillis et accompagnés par Yuumi, très joviale et dynamique.
Elle est également très professionnelle.
Elle a rendu cette escapade très enrichissante.
Nous avons découvert de nombreux endroits où nous n'aurions pas osé aller sans sa présence.
Elle est pleine de connaissances et ses petits croquis nous on bien aidé à mieux apprécier la visite. Nous nous sommes régalés à chaque étapes du tour et nous avons passé un agréable moment en sa compagnie.
Je vous recommande Yuumi sans hésiter !

The experience was amazing! Masa was an absolutely incredible guide, the food and drinks were great and the group decided to end the night in a karaoke and Masa stayed with us until the end. To whoever is reading this: just press the book button, you won’t regret! :)

This bar crawl was awesome, Aya took us to some off the beaten path bars with diverse cocktails, we had beer, lots of sake and Japanese whiskey, amazing!

I had a great time exploring some of the Izakayas in Kyoto. Sayaka is very knowledgeable, fun and patient. She sweetly answered all my little qs. She also gave me some recommendations on lots of things to do, try and shop around Kyoto. Her energy is great and I really appreciate that the tour was not cancelled even tho I was the only one that booked it (granted it is Monday).
