Visit the magnificent Rhine Falls and the pretty village of Stein am Rhein on this 5-hour trip from Zurich. With a guide, you'll travel through northern Switzerland’s rolling wine country to the falls, Europe’s largest. View the roaring waters from clifftop Laufen Castle, and, in summer, choose to ride a boat close up to the cascades (optional). Afterward, take a guided stroll around medieval Stein am Rhein to admire its fresco-painted, half-timbered houses and other historical highlights. The tour duration is ideal if you’re short on time.

The tour guide was terrible. He collected our money for the boat tour ($20) and did escort the group to the elevator. However, he said he would meet us after everyone had gone down the elevator (it was a small elevator and the area was very crowded). Off of the elevator, the platform was very crowded and there were two paths to continue. Along with at least 10 other guests on the tour, we went to the right. Well, the jetty to the boat was to the left - the tour guide never told us this. By the time we realized where the jetty was and walked down there, our boat had left! There were 8 of us that missed the boat. The tour guide never apologized - didn't even mention the whole group wasn't on the boat. Never offered a refund. Trip certainly not worth the price, much less losing another $20 for the boat.

We loved it and the guides were very helpful and accommodating!
We ran into traffic and they still made sure we got to enjoy everything.

The meeting point was very close to the main train station, the operator was friendly and knowlegeable. About 40 minute bus ride from Zurich to the fall and tourist even has an opportunity to get a closer look at the fall. Trip to mid-centry little town Steim am Rhein was also nice.

The Falls were amazing. I would highly recommend the optional boat ride as it gives you a different perspective of the falls than from the platforms. However, having only any hour at the Falls is too short if you do the boat ride and then go to the platforms. Everyone seemed rushed. We didn't have any time to see the castle that is there or spend any time in the gift shop. The Stein am Rhein is a nice quaint little town. This tour could easily be a full day tour with the stop at Stein am Rhein being long enough for lunch plus allowing about 2 hours at the falls.

This is a great quick trip to see the Rhine Falls and Stein am Rhein. Definitely worth the trip. I think the highlight of the tour is Stein am Rhein. It is a very nice medieval town.

The trips to rhein falls was awesome. Frans has been and amazing guide. However the Stein visit could be swapped to another village maybe as it is not that interesting.

The trip was great and the guide Natalia was wonderful. The driver drove us fine and safe but he was very rude. He threw our property we left on the seat while at the falls in the trash without our knowledge. Without this incident we would give it 5 stars.
