Great day! Tour guides (Lars and Rolf) were great. The bus driver was also amazing navigating round a bouts and tight turns. Learned a lot on the bus ride with Lars. Rolf also was great with teaching us about the area. He went above and beyond to show us some sites in Lucerne.
The drive, the boat ride and Lucerne were absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, it was cloudy at the top of Mt Rigi…but they can’t control that! An amazing day and I would highly recommend it.

In the one short day we had while in Zurich, we were able to get out and see the beautiful scenery and walk, hike, and enjoy ourselves. We wanted to get back earlier so ended up paying for train tickets back rather than waiting for the bus so an option to take the train versus wait for the bus would have been nice as we paid twice for the return trip.

This is definitely a great tour for people that are proactive and on time. The guides are only on the trip there and back. All exploring and legs of the trip are up to you to figure out. Our group was fine, but I could definitely see how others could have issues. Overall, we would do it again, but know that you are simply paying for transport and not a guided tour. It told us it was partially guided, but I wouldn’t consider it partially guided. We did not follow the suggested times, since all the reviews said the time in Lucerne was not enough. We were glad to have left the mountain earlier to explore. If not, we wouldn’t have seen Lucerne like others on our trip. This trip is definitely weather dependent and we got super lucky, since previous days have been super rainy.

Raining and we were told to go up to Mt Rigi, had we known we could have stayed on the cogwheel train and taken it immediately back down and boarded our boat to shop in Lucerne, we would have done so. It would have Made our day better. At least we could have had more time shopping. By The time we got off of our boat, we only had about 40 minutes to shop once we found where they were. It also would’ve been nice to be given the option ahead of time by our guide to continue on to Lucerne with the rest of the group had we known it was going to be that bad up on Mount Regis we would’ve never went.
We almost cancelled the Mt Titlus tour because the guide for Mt Regi said since it was going to be 45 it would even worse than Mt Regi SO HAPPY WE DIDN’T it was a Fantastic Day and we had a Great Time.
To summit up, we know that you cannot control the weather, but if there is other options available, we feel they should be given.

We really enjoyed the activities of the trip but the guide had minimal and non accurate communication throughout the trip that made the experience more stress than it should have been.
At the train on the mountain, our guide
came to us and told us not to get on the first train. I watched shortly after as he himself got on the first train without saying anything to our group and several groups. Luckily we decided to get on right before it left.
On the way down, we asked the guide several times which train to take, he seemed very confused and again did not give us and other groups clear information. After the last train incident, we watched him to see what train he entered and got on that one.
At the ferry, he told us to sit anywhere and he would come by with tickets. We had just barely made the fairy and he never came by with tickets. We sat up top and were told a short while later by an employee of the boat that this was first class and we had to pay extra. At no time did our guide tell us or other groups this. After asking the guide why this information was not told to us, he stated that he told everyone and maybe I was not listening to him which was not accurate as again other groups were with us.
The worst part of the trip came on the way back when the bus we were told to get on was overbooked which I’m not sure how that could even happen. Several people had to go to another bus and multiple groups were unable to sit together. On top of that, the tour guides told us we needed to be safe and all have our seatbelts on as the tour guide we had was sitting on the step of the bus as it’s moving probably because the bus was too full. The one thing you expect out of a tour is organization and communication and this tour did not seem to have either.

The tour guide only drove us to a cable car stop at the beginning and picked us from Lucerne at the end of the tour. We were on our own doing all the transfers and toured the places. It will be nice if the tour guide was with us and guided us all the time when we toured Mt. Rigi and Lucerne.

The breathtaking views that photos could not truly capture! Everything went extremely smooth with the transportation from one mode to the next. Very efficient tour and although a long tour went very quickly!

Excellent excursion breath taking views of Mount Rigi and Lake Lucern. Very well planned and executed trip. Our guide and driver conart was very knowledgeable and kind. Ot to mention weather was excellent. Will recommend a must for anyone vising zurich or lucern.
