This is an incredible 25km E-bike tour that focuses on exploring the celebrated Arashiyama Bamboo Grove district, but also takes time to explore stunning temple environments aways from the tourist tracks.
Hop on our new Panasonic E-bikes and cover a lot of ground as we pedal effortlessly through a blend of urban and countryside settings. We will bike past Kyoto's daily life and give you insight into the city's rich history, culture, and scenic beauty.
We only allow a maximum of 8 guests for a safe and controlled experience.
Travellers should be comfortable riding 25km or 4 hours. Must be 15 years or older.
We meet 20 minutes before departure in order to get you comfortable on your E-bike.

We took our 13yo son who absolutely loved it. The scenery was beautiful, Michael our guide was very interesting, knowledgeable and gave great background on each of the places visited. We highly recommend this, it was the highlight of our day in Kyoto!

Absolutely fantastic tour. Was one of the highlights of our 15 days in Japan. Henry was an awesome guide, very knowledgeable, great sense of humour and great attention to detail. It Waa fabulous to ride the back streets of Kyoto and visit important Shrines and the bamboo forest. Highly recommended.

Sean provided our family with an excellent e-bike tour of the bamboo forest and environs. The route around Arashiyama was thoughtfully planned thru the forest and stops at selected shrines and temples. Sean was informative and engaging. We only had a short time in Kyoto and this tour more than met our expectations.

This was a 13 mile ride to several temple sites and the bamboo forest. The electric bikes were super helpful. Henry had a great grasp on Japanese history and really helped us navigate the roads on our bikes. I love taking bike tours in different cities and this was one of the top.

This was my most memorable experience in Kyoto. Extremely knowledgeable tour guide. Got to see parts of Kyoto I would not have had the opportunity to see without a car. If you like to bike I highly recommend.

Henry was a knowledgeable and fun guide. We learned a lot and enjoyed the scenery on our bikes. The tour is comprehensive and just the right amount of stops. We felt safe on the roads and it was wonderful to see neighborhoods.

Our Guide Henry has been awesome. Its really fun with him, we had a great time. Tour was cool, no one was left behind. Instructions have been clear. Have been a small group of 7. Would book again.
