Hello! Hola! Konichiwa!

We can offer you any customized meals as you like!

In our activity, you will experience a Japanese cooking lesson from an expert instructor with years of culinary experience and the beautiful hidden gem of Tokyo, Todoroki Valley, the only valley in the 23 wards of Tokyo.

One of the great aspects of this cooking lesson is the hands-on nature of the experience. You won't just be watching the instructor cook; you'll be with them, chopping, stirring, and seasoning alongside them.

Also, recipes are easy to follow, and you can recreate the dishes at home. Whether you're an experienced home cook or a complete beginner, you'll find the recipes simple and straightforward, with plenty of helpful tips and tricks.

Finally, our instructor uses homegrown vegetables and herbs for the freshest and most authentic taste possible.

Overall, if you're looking for a cooking lesson that's both informative and fun, this one is definitely worth checking out!

May and I met Tomoko at the train station and began our walk to her home. Along the way, we stopped by a local temple and Japanese garden. It was a nice sunny day and when we reached her Casa de Tomokita, she offered us tea, snacks, and a cool oshibori (towel)! Tomoko’s hospitality and enthusiasm made us feel like we were over at a friend’s home to cook, eat, drink, and talk story! Of course, it is a cooking class and you do participate in the prepping and cooking. On the menu were ramen and gyoza. The shoyu based ramen broth was not complicated at all. Assembling the gyoza was a first for May and I, but we did a pretty good job! Our entire meal included a salad, some side dishes, and dessert. It was oishi (delicious)! Your level of cooking skills doesn’t matter as Tomoko is very accommodating! If you want to experience cooking and having a meal in a Japanese home with a wonderful host like Tomoko, I highly recommend this class!

Amazing hospitality, great food and over all phenomenal experience. I would do this again! In addition to cooking we enjoyed the brief tour on the way to her home.

This was one of our favorite activities on our honeymoon trip to Tokyo. Tomoko-san is super friendly and kind. She is a very skilled teacher and our limited Japanese language skills were not a problem at all! It was nice to be able to escape the busier parts of the city and see this beautiful neighborhood. The food was delicious and plentiful! What an excellent memory! If you're on the fence, just book it!

Tomoko and her wingwoman Junko met us at the Todoroki train station exactly as planned. Having experienced some of Tokyo’s massive train stations we were worried about finding her but Todoroki station is tiny and impossible to hide in.

The walk to Tomoko’s house through the peaceful Todoroki valley was beautiful and spoiled only by the fact that her Sunshine Spell didn’t work…but we appreciated the effort. The gardens were lovely and there was a small temple/shrine.

After a short walk to her home we started cooking and laughing. Both Tomoko and Junko were delightful company. They had prepared some of the ingredients for ramen and gyoza in advance but left plenty for us to do. Despite our rather ham handed help the results were amazing and plentiful. We couldn’t finish everything even with beer and plum wine to wash it down.

All in all a wonderful and fun experience. Don't hesitate! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.

OMG, this so far is our best experience of our trip. Tomoko is so pleasant and kind. The meal was delicious especially all the little side dishes. Even my picky daughter loved the side dishes which she normally wouldn’t have had eaten. The stroll through the park on the way to her house was so peaceful and beautiful.
Don’t hesitate, book your class with her. This is better then any tourist attractions.

What a wonderful experience! Tomoko was the perfect host for this 3 hour cooking class and nature hike for our family of three. Not only do you learn how to cook the delicious food, Tomoko has such a wonderful demeanor and kind personality that you immediately feel you've known her your whole life.

So here is our experience - before our class, she contacted me to ask what type of food we were interested in cooking. We also arranged a meeting place right by the train station exit. When we met up, we walked to a quaint shrine and river area that was so picturesque. Even though it was raining, it was still so beautiful. We then walked to her house where she served up some tea and snacks.

We then got to cooking. You can tell she put so much effort and detail in preparing the ingredients for each dish. It was fun learning how to cook all the dishes while having great conversation at the same time. My 15 year-old son can now cook a number of dishes for us, which is a big plus!

When all the dishes were ready, we got to sit down and enjoy the meal at a beautifully appointed table with some really gorgeous dishware.

I would highly recommend this class if you are looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of a busy city with a real Japanese style home-cooked meal in a warm and friendly environment. Thank you, Tomoko, for one of our more memorable moments in Tokyo!

Tomoko was a great instructor and a great person. She was full of energy and generous hospitality. She taught the class with passion and energy, and showed us what an authentic Japanese food should look like. The cooking class was full of laugh and cheerful atmosphere. Food connects all of us together and we got along very well which made the food/experience more unforgettable.
I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to experience a typical but also real/authentic Japanese lifestyle. You won’t regret!

This was easily our favorite meal in Japan. Tomokita is an amazing chef & teacher. She even accommodated a vegetarian option last minute for myself, and traditional ramen & gyoza for my partner. We had so much fun with her & really enjoyed her homemade plum wine as well. I'm looking forward to returning to Tokyo to take another class with her in the future!

If you love Japanese food and having a great time this is for you, starting with the tour of Todoroki valley park which has a fantastic view, followed by a very fun cooking class, which I must say, the recipes are fantastic, it didn’t matter I wasn’t a good cook it tasted fantastic nonetheless, and all this is possible because Tomoko San is not only a fantastic host and great teacher but a person you could talk to for hours, me and my wife had a great time and will come back again for sure.
