Sail with us to the exotic Dia Island on our large and comfortable sailing yachts. Our journey begins at the Heraklion Old venetian port.
After 1 hour of sailing, we arrive to Dia where we anchor in the bay of the island.
There you can enjoy the crystal waters and water activities such as snorkeling, fishing and paddle boarding. (Please request the equipment from the Crew). The standup paddle boards are not available under rough wind conditions for safety reasons.
About 1 hour later our delicious menu is served and includes Greek salad and several appetizers, while the main course is shrimp Linguini (we also offer vegetarian and gluten free versions of the menu upon request). You can also accompany your meal with the finest wine, beer, ice tea or soft drinks.
Around 30 minutes later our fruit salad of tropical and local fruits is served. After you finish your meal you will have a few last moments of relaxation on the yacht or in the refreshing water before we sail back to Heraklion.

Myself and 2 friends were able to book at relatively short notice for a 1 hour trip / cruise along North Skomer to see the bird life, particularly the Puffins. We arrived an hour before the scheduled departure, as advised, and walked the shout, but up and down, distance to the departure point.

The day was perfect, Sunny with light winds and calm seas. However the vessel, The Dale Queen, is an 18 metre Catamaran which takes nearly 100 passengers so I expect that even in choppy seas it would be very stable.

We boarded the boat and waited while all the other passengers boarded and then we had the usual "Safety" talk from one of the crew, JIm, who later proved to be the "Star of the day". He even injected humour into that talk with the promise that we might see a Puffin as he had seen one on the same day, last year !!

As we set off for Skomer, slowly and smoothly, Jim started his "tourist" chat and had everyone in very good humour. Despite his jokes he did give us a lot of good information about the local bird / wildlife, the islands we were sailing around and the history of the islands including an English translation of the Viking names of the Islands.

We soon saw the Puffin swimming close to the boat so everyone was happy, we also saw Cormorants, Guillemots, Razorbills, Kittiwakes and a Herring Gull called Tonto, that Jim has trained to appear on the boat and take food from Jim's hand. As we approached the landing place at Skomer (though we weren't landing) we saw another Puffin, then another, then more. There were hundreds of them in the landing bay.

Jim gave us all the information that we needed to know about the lifestyle and lifespan of the Puffin which was very interesting. Who knew that they got "married" when they were 5 years old?

We carried on to the tip of Skomer and a small Island called Gull Island. Though it was quite hazy we could see the islands of Ramsey, Grassholm (covered in Gannet guano) , South Bishop and also a few Gannets diving for fish, what a site !

Then we made our way back to the landing / boarding point at Martin's Haven while Jim kept up his banter all the way. The entire trip took just over an hour and was totally enjoyable, informative and very funny. In a word it was BRILLIANT.

My friends and me agreed to do the trip again but to land and visit Skomer next time, they do a trip that lets you stay on the island for 4 or 5 hours which would be perfect. However, the Puffins leave for their Winter destinations in the N. Atlantic during the beginning of August so that will have to be next year.

If anyone can show me or tell me where you can get a more enjoyable experience with so much fitted in in just over an hour, I guarantee that I will visit it like a shot though, they will have a hard job to equal or better this trip and I have been on many boat trips during my life.

Thank you Dale sailing, Dale Queen and, in particular, Jim for making the whole thing so special that we felt we had had a full day's enjoyment in the short time we were aboard. As Arnie says, "We will be back".

Wonderful trip! Wished we had a little more time in the water, but a great day trip to the bay (island). Niko (Skipper) and Cristina (First and only Mate) were awesome!

We hadden geboekt zonder ophalen.

The trip was great. Unfortunately the start was delayed and therefore a little shortened. What a pity. The food was good and the crew was nice and caring.

I especially liked the fact that there were only 8 people on the board. The captain and his helper were super kind. They made fresh pasta and shrimp for dinner which tasted okay but not great. They also had excellent fruits and drinks for everyone.
