Capture the essence of Florence's artistic heritage and explore the collections of two of the world's most famous galleries.
Elena, one of the expert local guides, says, ‘Taking in so much art in a single day can be draining. With a guide to provide insight and context you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the collections and their place in Renaissance Italy and the wider world.’
At the Uffizi Gallery, your guide will lead you to discover the unmissable masterpieces, including works by Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Caravaggio, and Titian.
You’ll also enjoy a short break at the rooftop café.
Next, you'll head to the Accademia Gallery. There you'll explore the gallery's seven halls, marvel at paintings, frescoes, and altarpieces in the Hall of the Colossus. The highlight of the tour is the Tribune, where you'll find the Accademia's star statue, Michelangelo's David, created by the artist when he was just 26 years old from a solid piece of marble.

Beautiful tour, it manages to make sense of the entire artistic heritage of Florence. Our guide Elena was wonderful and she provided in depth descriptions of the paintings and statues, the techniques used and how the style of painting changed over the centuries and how the styles were influenced. We also enjoyed all the stories and anecdotes. We got a lot more out of the visit than we would have done without a guide. Getting into the museums was stress and queue free. Definitely recommend!
