This was our first time on the Star and it will definitely not be our last. The ship is absolutely beautiful and in the Nova dining room the meal was a four ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️meal in every way. The crew were superb, friendly very efficient and helpful for all our needs, especially Kayla (sic) our main server. This review would not be complete with mentioning Captain Steve: He was a terrific host and a fine representative of the Ship’s company. He was engaging, friendly, helpful and it was clearly genuine in every way - we will be returning to Honolulu in the fall and our very first local booking will be the Star of Honolulu. The cruise was beautiful and food was great. We did the 3 course dinner. Kristina with Sunset Cruise was so amazing. She was so friendly, accommodating, and tentative. 12/10 starts for Tina if I could.

Definitely not worth the price we paid! It's a huge boat and private table meals you sit about a foot from someone else. We were on the top level and got service last. The food was fine but not the amount - salad with a little bit of lobster, small steak and mash potatoes with mushrooms mixed in (which I couldn't eat), and a VERY small desert. The music was a guy playing the piano, thought maybe there would be dancing but so many people crammed in there wasn't room. This was a big splurge for our anniversary trip and we could have gone to a nice restaurant more than twice for the money and having to drive way over to the harbor area. The view was nice of Waikiki and we did get to see a very short fireworks show (Friday night only). Ate at the Disney resort for $75 each and it was three times the amount of food and much better!

Beautiful experience, just a bit warm on board with the insufficient A/C. Food was amazing and entertainment was awesome. Would do it again.

Absolutely not worth the price we paid for the Nova Five Star Sunset Cruise. On the day of our cruise a severe thunderstorm was over O’ahu. We called to inquire about the cruise and was informed of their 24 hr cancellation policy. At the time of our inquiry we were less than 24 hours to cancel. So we were only left with the option of going on our Signature Nova Five Star Sunset Cruise we had purchased. Sadly, our experience was no where near 5 star. We arrived for our cruise experience, first problem, we departed about 25 minutes late. Our 5 course dinner service began and we still hadn’t left the dock, we were 2 courses in before we even got information as to why we were still at the dock. We were finally informed by the wait staff we were delayed due to traffic in the harbor. Upon our late departure, I only saw one small tug boat in the harbor. Once we were out of the harbor became the second problem with extreme chop, so much so that walking about was not easy and champagne was sloshing about the glass. Several people around us were not feeling well due to the amount of chop and rocking of the boat. Then our waitress stated we were turning around early. We proceeded back towards the harbor for our third problem where we remained for the remainder of the cruise in a circle pattern. Sadly, no communication was ever given from the captain for the late departure or the early turn around and the harbor circle pattern. We were completely utterly disappointed in this dinner cruise experience. Strongly feel the company should reevaluate their cancellation policy in severe weather situations and when they clearly where not able to provide the experience they promote.

The sunset, the view of Honolulu from the boat, the dinner, the service, the music, and the fireworks! We enjoyed it all. The dinner was the best we had in Hawaii. Since it was such a special occasion, we chose the top floor, which was relaxing and enjoyable, so I recommend it.

We loved it. It was worth the money. Food was excellent and the place was clean and proper. We didn't see good sunset due to weather but had fun. The staffs were professional.

My husband and I went on the Star Of Honolulu 5 Star dinner cruise and we were very impressed! The food was delicious and the cocktails were great! We don't eat meat so we opted for the vegan meal for our entree and it was so good! The live jazz creates a nice ambience and the staff were so nice. It was nice being out on the water with the Waikiki view without being in the busyness of it. And we were lucky enough to see whales! If you're going to be on Oahu and want a more intimate dinner experience with beautiful views then this is a great choice!

We had a really nice evening on our dinner cruise. The food was excellent and they were able to provide as vegetarian meal for us. The drinks were also on point and the views of Honolulu and Waikiki were cool. The jazz music was a nice touch and added to the ambience. The staff was super nice and attentive. We would definitely go back and bring friends and family.
