Kübra was an excellent guide and gave some excellent insights into the area and its history. It is great to see this area is being restored and some examples of a few that have not been. Please note that the pictures of steep roads and steps on the website indicate that you will get your morning’s exercise.

What a great tour from Yunus!
Excellent guide who shared his passion and knowledge for the history of the Fener-Balat area with us. He spotted us arriving from the tram, and steered us into shady spots throughput the tour. My husband had studied much of the history Yunus shared, but still thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Yunus kindly showed us the former city walls and gave us food recommendations too.

Yesterday we had amazing walking tour in Fener- Balat area of Istanbul. This is the oldest quarter of Istanbul with colorful old buildings. Our guide Kübra made our trip special by telling old stories and rumors related to this area and to people who lived here. I really enjoyed this tour.

A fantastic guide with wealth of information, he’s patient with our slow walking speed too. Highly recommended. He’s fluent in English. He went out of the box in recommending local cuisine.
