Take in the stunning Highland locations made famous by the Harry Potter and James Bond film series.

Passing famous landmarks such as Linlithgow Palace, the mythical Kelpies, and the dramatically perched Stirling Castle on route to the Highlands.

Head north through Glencoe while your Driver / Guide points out the film locations for the James Bond and Harry Potter franchise

Stop in the Fort William area for lunch before a short drive to the Glenfinnan viaduct which was made famous from its scenes in the Harry Potter movies from the filming of the Hogwarts Express. Take a short walk to the viewpoint, where you will have unparalleled views over Loch Shiel and across to the viaduct, in time for the Jacobite Steam train crossing.

The road home will be time to relax and take in the Highland scenery. Final stop is at the historic town of Pitlochry before continuing home over the Firth of Forth alongside UNESCO Forth Rail Bridge enroute back into Edinburgh.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our first stop for refreshments and a comfort break is Callander, where you will have a chance to grab a snack and stretch your legs. If you're lucky enough, you may have the chance to meet the Highland Cows (season dependant).

The site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald Clan, Glencoe is one of Scotland’s most famous glens. Here you will hop off for a photo opportunity with the dramatic northern ridges known as the Three Sisters

Nearing the half way point on our tour we stop off Fort William known as the capital of the Highlands. Here you will have time to have lunch in one of the many local pubs, restaurants or cafe's that line the cobbled main street.

Made famous from its scenes in the Harry Potter movies, The Glenfinnan Viaduct is surrounded by mountains on the stunning shores of Loch Shiel. From the visitors centre you will be able to take a short walk to the viewpoint to witness the breath-taking views down the glen across Loch Shiel which is the used in various Harry Potter scenes as well as the loch on which Hogwarts sits. Find a good spot to see the Jacobite Steam Train cross the Glenfinnan Viaduct*. Restrooms and food available in the visitors centre. *Please note that the Jacobite Steam Train is operated by separate company and although our tour is scheduled around seeing this we cannot guarantee train will run on the day of your tour. This service is seasonal and runs from Thursday 28th March to Friday 25th October 2024.
5.
Stopping in the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry for a chance to stretch the legs and grab some light refreshments before the final leg of the journey home

This was a very nice day trip to the highlands. We very much enjoyed the scenery & of course watching the train come across the Viaduct as a long time Harry Potter fan. However, we got so much more during our experience. Our tour driver Anthony was very knowledgeable and recommended local pubs & restaurants on our rest stops. He also gave us lots of historical facts about the places we visited which was great. As a bonus we even got to pet highland cows!!!

It was a great day with loads of opportunities to calmly walk around and explore the different stops while taking cool photos of the scenery.
And oh yeah, so many great tales and stories were told by our chauffeur (and a lot of dad jokes too). Stay that way Anthony!

Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed this trip, and we highly recommend going for a day trip with Stewart tours!

Covered a lot of ground for a day trip. Very comfortable coach. Amazing tour guide with lots of personal stories and humor. Efficient and on schedule the entire day. Plenty of stops along the way for stretching the legs, snacks and food, and bathroom breaks. Would highly recommend Stewart Tours.

Hairy cows, stunning scenery, the Hogwarts Express, famous movie set sites and more were entertainingly delivered to us by Stuart. We got a general insight into Scottish history and current everyday Scottish way of life. The air-conditioned bus was comfortable but didn’t offer wifi. Stuart’s tips on where to go on the various stops were on point. His kind and humourous manner made it a memorable and commendable experience.

It was a wonderful trip. Our wonderful driver + tour guide, Mary, she is amazing. She is fulled with positivity and energetic who made our trip become meaningful. Her commentary along trip was amazing and her driving skills are perfectly good! Im a person who has vehicle motion sickness, but I feel comfortable along the trip without undergoing any sickness. She is friendly, nice and knowledgeable who love her job and professional. The trip to Highland Scotland was wonderful. The breathtakingly view. A super nice trip I would say.

Really enjoyed all aspects of the tour. Stuart was very knowledgeable yet he was very chilled and relaxed in his delivery which is needed on a 12hr day.
Didn't like the first cafe we stopped at for breakfast however is our only complaint. Found the staff very rude, and they didn't manage the crowd well. Only 30 mins there wasn't enough. Every other stop was exceptional and staff being rude or awkward is not the tours fault.
