From Port of Airlie, journey across the Whitsunday Passage and into this amazing tropical paradise – a scenic sequence of remote waterways and hidden bays. On the southern shores of Whitsunday Island, the largest of the 74 Whitsunday isles, famous Whitehaven Beach is a regular on lists of ‘World’s Best Beaches’. Wander along the sand, hike the short Solway Circuit for some show-stopping views, or cool off in the gently lapping water before your return cruise.

It was a nice day over all
Crew were so good and provided us with water , plenty of food and guidance.

But the downside was;
1- This is a multi-stop route to Whitehaven ( as they go from Airlie Beach to Day Dream Island drop off guests and pick up other guests , followed by another stop at Hamilton Island for drop off and pick up , then end up in Whitehaven) so the trip takes 2.5 hours each way ) - so total of 5 hours is wasted of your day
2- That boat can fit more than 150 people , so it was really crowded with people on top of each other ( everyone had a seat , but still too crowded in my opinion )
3- The indoor are was very smelly , I think the Carpet needs a good wash or replacement and the AC filters looks like they haven’t been replaced for years ( and showed errors on the LCD screen of the AC )

We ended up spending 1 hour and 45 minutes on Whitehaven beach , and 5 hours in transportation!

Considerings the $$ paid , I Would try to find a trip that goes directly to Whitehaven beach ( not the Multi-stop option ) -

The day was great, and the cruise is an excellent choice for everyone. Morning tea consisted of some fresh fruit and cookies, with additional items available for purchase. Please note this morning cruise from Airlie departs at 7.15am and does not return to Airlie until approx 2.30pm and ours included a change of boat at Hamilton idea which caught everyone by surprise and created a lot of confusion and uncertainty.

Whitehaven Beach is absolutely stunning. The staff on the tour were wonderful and 2 hours on Whitehaven was perfect also. Lots of big ticks, however, when I rang Viator to enquire about then boat/ travel time each was I was told 1-1 hour and 23 mins. I stated we had small children so travel time mattered. Travel time was 2-2-5 hours each way including transit at Hamilton Island. These details matter to families planning.

After a shaky start, realising the tour began on the island normal commuter catamaran. The awesome scenery of clear blue waters made up for our slight disappointment. First stop Daydream Island, the Hamilton before a bit of a rough 15mins crossing the open water of the Coral Sea. Then a short tender crossing to the foreshore of Whitehaven Beach. Beautiful! Then after 2 hours, the same all over again. Georgia, a wonderful crew member fulfilled her duties with vigor and enthusiasm. She reassured us when our tummies where churning. She made our day memorable. Thanks!

Sadly the trip was very bad for us as we had a difficult crossing, and rain on the beach. It was not worth the price for us, and we wish we had been offered a refund or another crossing

We went on a very cloudy day and the sea very very rough over to the island, so I feel we didn’t get the full colourful experience but the beach is amazing and you can loose yourself. Fab
