Anyone can take the public boat, stand in a long queue and visit a little bit of these islands, but seeing Venice from my boat is truly iconic, even for those who, like me, were born and raised there!
My characteristic is that I'm not in a hurry, if we finish a few minutes later, there's no problem!
Clearly without any extra compensation, this is my hospitality and it's fantastic because you come to know my city.
I am a tour leader and I know well what a visitor is looking for and wants to see. Thanks to my knowledge I will explain to you on board, each island with its own anecdotes, the vicissitudes that happen in the city and how we, local people, live in this small but wonderful city: Venice.

Wow this was an amazing tour from start to finish.
Davide was friendly, kind and entertaining. He is a local who is very knowledgeable about the history of Venice.

By private arrangement we were picked up within a short walk from our accommodation in the heart of Venice and then toured by Davide to everything we could have hope to see and more. We arrived in Murano at an unassuming dock and welcomed by the owner of The Mocenigo- Murano Glass Factory for a private viewing, handed a glass of wine to enjoy and escorted into a private seating to observe mater glass blowers and learn the history and significance of Murano glass to curious and appreciative visitors. The owners, craftsmen, glass masters and employees of Montenegro Glass take great pride in sharing their artistry in action was a privilege to view as master glass blowers collaboratively created the most exquisite chandeliers.
Included: private host, Q&A, explanation of process in English, viewing of unbelievable galleries of Murano glass without line up or waiting.
Book privately through Davide Benice to ensure locals earn what they deserve rather than through international tour facilitators, who take a significant percentage of what you’re paying to local guides.
The best part for us was that Davide accommodated our unique mobility needs and request for tours with limited walking as my hubby awaits ankle replacement surgery next month.
We were constantly reassured and hadn’t needed to worry as I have a tendency to do! This boat tour was a highlight of our trip to Venice. Highly recommended for couples who want an authentic tour of Venetian culture without the crush of visitors to this magical city and region of Italy.

If you want the most magical day that you will remember forever go out with Davide a Venetian for generations on his private boat to Burano and Murano. We have teenage daughters and this was their favorite day. They especially loved being on the boat with Davide. Burano was the first stop. It is filled with beauty. From the colored homes to the incredible lace that is created here. Davide is so knowledgeable as this area is his homeland. It is his pride and joy and for good reason. He took us to the best lace maker/artist in all of Burano. The Lace store is called DALLA LIDIA and we purchased the most beautiful lace tablecloth made by Signora Paola who has stunning artistry. There we also saw a small lace museum. It is important to go to the place where the lace is real the art handed down from generation to generation and not manufactured on a machine. Only an insider would know this. Davide took us to get cookies that are special to the island. We saw mask making which is very specific to this area from a real artist at the Eugenio shop. We then made our way to Murano which of course is famous for the art of glass making. Here we had the privilege to meet and watch an a glass blowing artist at Mocenigo Glass Factory that has been doing this since his teens. He retired and came in just so we could watch and it was a once in a lifetime experience. He made several pieces right in front of us. Next we met Cristian the kindest most amazing man from Mocegino where we could see a gallery of pieces to choose our special piece. Once chosen we found out they would be engraving it with our family name and we took pictures. Cristian even gave my teens and myself a Murano glass bracelet as a gift and it was just such an emotional and touching experience. What are we without art? Finally we went to a fabulous restaurant on the water that was just breathtaking. Then Davide sadly took us home. It was a highlight of our trip. Don’t use tour guides that are from other countries which is most. Make sure you book with Davide. His love for Venice and the surrounding islands and his deep relationships gave us a day we will never forget and special pieces to remind us always of this experience. If we could give 20 stars we would!!

Davide is the consummate host. Venice-born, he knows the islands and the community like the back of his hand. We had the best day out with him. It started at a glass factory in Murano and then moved onto Burano where we were introduced to REAL artesians of lace, papier-mâché, balsamic vinegar, sweet treats, gorgeous linen clothing and glass. David’s let us set the pace and then took us on a brief history tour of the smallest islands on our way home. It was great value for the money.
We strongly recommend this tour and plan to head out with him again on one of his other tours when we are back later this year.
P.S. To comply with local waterway laws and to ensure the comfort of his guests, small details like weight and physical agility will be asked when you make your reservation. This enables David to pick the most appropriate boat from his fleet. We had a very comfortable ride there and back.

The day started off well. Davide made us feel welcome and devoted his efforts in ensuring us of a good time.
Davide was indeed a very knowledgeable Venetian local. He knew every nook and cranny on Murano, Burano, and Trecello Island. Only a local would know the places he showed us.
Everywhere we went, Davide seemed to know everyone. That made it even more special as we were treated to elevated service level.
We had a blast. That was a good tour.

This was an awesome tour for our family. Davide took us to Murano and Burano- introducing us to the artists. He was welcoming and fun and we loved his boat ride. The best thing we did in Venice! Highly recommend

Wow! Davide was absolutely amazing! From the booking experience to communication to meeting him in Venice early morning, the experience was incredible. Davide recommended a wonderful cafe to meet at this morning - Algiubagiò, amazing cappuccino and brioche, then we hopped on his gorgeous boat and traveled the calm canals over to SantTeresmo, Burano and Murano. Davide knows the locals! Burano with him was so special with the beautiful houses! We then had a wonderful breakfast on the boat while quietly floating, followed by a visit to the amazing Moncenigo Glass Factory. Overall wonderful morning we will remember forever! Book this experience! I would do it over and over and over again!

We had an amazing time with the experience Davide provided. It was clear Davide is a local and fosters great relationships with the stops we made; Mocenigio Glass Factory, Mask making shop & lace making shop on the islands were a personalized experience! We’d highly recommend Davide’s experiences!
