Such an authentic experience. Our chef Antonio was so passionate, patient and friendly throughout the cooking class. We had so much fun and the food was delicious. Cannot recommend highly enough to others visiting cefalu.

I had the most amazing day with friends at this cooking class!! My expectations were not that high since I am not a great cook myself, but chef Antonio Sireci explained everything so easily and with a great sense of humour and awesome mood. The location is STUNNING and the building and overall set-up was very professional and fancy. The recipes taught were something one can replicate at home, and everything tasted SOOO incredibly good, including all the various local wines we got to taste. At the end of the day, we didn't really want to leave as the whole experience was so much fun! The day with the Sicilian Food Lovers was the highlight of my 5-days visit to Cefalu. Can't recommend it enough! :)

We booked this in advance of our holiday as we wanted to wanted to try something a little different than our normal holiday excursions and it turned out to be the most enjoyable day.
The four of us have mixed experience on the cooking front and with Antonio's guidance this was no issue.
The villa itself is a beautiful setting a 10 min taxi ride from Cefalu and as soon as you arrive you are made to feel relaxed and welcome . After a coffee we were shown around the buildings and grounds of this former Abbey. Another party that were meant to join us had just cancelled so it was down to us as a small group of 4. Antonio explained the day and what we were going to prepare ( I had already e mailed ahead as one of our party is a vegetarian so everything was ready to go).
We made four Scicillian dishes plus the extra vegetarian dish and we were guided from start to finish with Antonio passionately informing us about the local ingredients.
Fresh Pasta alla Norma, stuffed courgettes, fennal orange salad , pork and mozzarella rolls ( aubergine parmigiana vegetarian dish) and lemon dessert . Part way through day , while work stations beeing prepared we were served sparkling wine outside with same potatoes croquettes and chickpea fritters.
For me, my favourite to make was the fresh pasta and sauce, it was something I'd never tried and we were shown how to make with and without pasta machine as Antonio was aware this is not something we all have. Then we all proceeded outside and had the pleasure of being served the food we had made, the wine went down well also.
I highly recommend this experience and on our return home we received the recipes we made (plus many other dishes to try) and some photos of the day.

Chef Antonio created a perfect four course menu in an amazingly relaxing and beautiful setting. From the moment you arrive to this centuries old converted Abby, you are made to feel like it is your home. Located at the top of a hill overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea the vistas are amazing.
We prepared the following: a tasty pan a cotta desert, blood orange salad with fennel, braciola with thinly sliced pork cutlets, provolone cheese and mortadella, zucchini with raisins, capers, almonds and parmigiana cheese, and finally a freshly made-from-scratch tagliatelle.
The entire experience was a half-day affair and we could not be happier with the scrumptious experience! Kudos to Antonio and the relaxing, but filling mid-day meal…oh, I forgot…the locally sourced and produced white and red wines were a perfect compliment to the experience!

The highlight of our family trip to Cefalu and Taormina! Our family of four (including two boys aged 13 and 11) had the BEST time preparing, cooking, and eating a delicious multi-course Sicilian meal in a great kitchen space in an historic hilltop villa. Antonio is a gregarious, informative and patient chef /instructor. Definitely book!

The instructor Antoniu was wonderful, he explained and showed a lot of things that aren't in any cookbook and can only be learned on site. The course is also great as a family event and he caters to everyone's abilities. We will definitely come back and do it again. Thank you Antonio.

When I travel, one of my pleasures are local cooking classes. This class exceeded my expectations - the setting and preparation was the best; the chef, Antonio, was knowledgeable and a joy to work with; and the food and tips we learned were excellant. It was an international class with the others from Australia and Germany - we all felt welcome and enjoyed each others company during the day. I would absolutely recommend this experience.

This was such an amazing experience. The villa was absolutely breathtaking, the class itself was so organised and well run, and Antonio was such a lovely cooking instructor! My friends and I had such an amazing day and it was a highlight of our Cefalu trip! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
