This tour will take you minute by minute through the last day of the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln.

You will meet the conspirators who were desperately trying to save the Confederate cause in the dying days of the Civil War. There were to be three attacks that night. This tour unfolds as a story filled with suspense, intrigue, and espionage.

Learn about and see:

-The White House - where Lincoln gave his final speech in the presence of his later assassin, John Wilkes Booth

-Home of Secretary of State Seward - who was also attacked that night by a co-conspirator of Booh

-National Theatre - a potential site of Booth's attack on Lincoln, but instead where his young son learned of the death of his father.

-Site of the Kirkwood House Hotel - where Vice President Andrew Johnson lived and an attack on him was planned that night.

-Ford's Theatre - the site of the assassination while watching a play in a full house.

-Peterson's Boarding House - where Lincoln took his final breath.

Disappointing for the price. Paid to have someone walk me around and show pics on a tablet. Going to ford theater was 30$ cheaper

A great walking tour of the landmarks—present and past—of that fateful April evening. At every stop our guide gave us fascinating details of the city and key participants, moving from the beginning to end of the story as we meandered from location to location. Our tour was on a sweltering June evening, but our guide had great energy and kept us both moving and rapt. While the walk doesn't enter any of the buildings on the tour (most that are still standing are inaccessible anyway) nothing was lost from the narrative. Edutaining fun in spite of the solemnity of the subject matter.

This was a very insightful tour that really makes you appreciate the greatness of our President Lincoln. Our guide was knowledgeable and obviously very passionate about the historical events and explained it all to us better than any history book or wiki page could ever do. Being able to stand at the sites where the failed plans took place made it all very real. Note - because there is a lot of walking involved and the subject matter is very complex, this would not be a good tour for families with small children. However for history buffs, or for a night to impress your date this would be a good tour.

Our guide, Max, was good - very knowledgeable. It was a bit disappointing that some of the buildings weren’t there anymore. The guide just took us to the vicinity and then told us the story of what happened.

We were pleasantly surprised at how entertaining our walking tour was. Our guide was funny, knowledgeable and engaging. The weather was perfect and the distance was reasonable. We learned so much and our 11 year old and college kids all loved it.

Colin is a wealth of knowledge about all things Lincoln. He's also kindly sympathetic to tourists with tired legs/feet and frequently the stops along the way are at benches or steps for resting while listening.

We was looking so forward to this tour based on the reviews. Max was our guide. He was nice but didn’t do this justice. It was pretty terrible to be honest.

The day of the tour was really bad weather. I wrote to the company and asked for refund but they said wasn’t possible that the tour was still going to happen, with rain and cold temps. I felt that at that point that wasn’t very honest from the company. They did offer another day to take the tour but I was in DC just for that night.
