This was an amazing experience. The boat was absolutely beautiful. The lunch was excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The price is a little more but is definitely worth it because it is limited to only about 30 people versus other companies that will have roughly 60 to 100 people on board. Saona was Gorgeous, clear water, soft white sand. Snorkeling was also nice. The starfish were cool to look at. Transportation from the hotel and back was very easy as well. I would definitely recommend this to anybody visiting Punta Cana. I went with a large family, including little kids and everybody had an amazing time.

My family of 5 had a great experience with Quetzal! Lola was wonderful as well as Bernard, El Capitan, and the rest of the crew. Lunch was great. I particularly enjoyed the “rum”cake. I told Lola it was a good thing we booked for the last day of our vacation because I would definitely have to do it again if we had time. Literally the best part of our trip. Big thank you to everyone at Quetzal! Our next and every trip to the DR will include a cruise with you!!

We had an unbelievable experience it was the best highlight of our trip. The brew was amazing the food was good the. Lola and the crew and captain were very kind and friendly. I must say please please go with this company totally classy and relaxed. Not crazy noise or crazy music just a peaceful tranquil day . If you want class and an enjoyable time please do t miss this opportunity.

We loved every second of this excursion! This is THE boat you want to be on when you head over to Saona. The island can get very busy and the beach vendors can be very aggressive, so it was nice to show up to the island early and leave early. We loved the natural pool, and only wished we had more time there :)

Great tour well worth the cost, smaller group, mostly couples and 1 family, got to know everyone, lots of space to move around, definitely the 1st class option for Soana. Excellent lunch onboard. No waiting for anything, excellent service, highly recommend and everyone else felt the same.

Our group booked a private tour again with this company and they are THE BEST! Our daughter and son say- they are “the Shiznit” lol! And they are! They go above and beyond, the tours are 100% fantastic- they don’t rush you when snorkelling and let you “go on your own” unlike the other tours that cluster you in confined space and yell all of the time lol. They keep the headcount small , which is a huge plus for us as nothing is worse than being crammed like sardines on tours, especially on boat tours! If you can do private like we did, even better as you get the whole day and boat to yourselves! Our group loves this! The food and drinks are great! The staff/crew are so kind and engaging! You will NOT regret using this company, private tour or not, and we can’t wait to come back again and sail with the Quetzal team!

My daughter was trying to change the second passenger in the upcoming vacation to the Mediterranean with Princess Cruise. We used PrestigeCruises.com and call them at the very last moment before the 21 days window to make changes. Thanks to Susan especially and Sabrina as well we could fix on time everything. Susan was very supportive and helpful and we really appreciate it. I'm so happy and ready to roll since I was added to the tour in my son in law place. So far we didn't have been charged for the name changed. So thanks again Susan !

Highly recommend! The water around and at Soana Island is beautiful, so any tour there is worth your time, however this tour stands out because of the operator. The boat is a private vessel made available for tourists in small groups. THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS THEY LIMIT THE TOUR TO 30 GUESTS ON BOARD, WHICH MAKES FOR A VERY ENJOYABLE DAY. NO OTHER BOATS SEEM TO DO THIS. You'll see other, even smaller boats crowded with 50+ people and cranking music.  Our boat seemed peaceful in comparison, we always had somewhere to sit in the shade or on the nets and if the crew played music for us it was never obnoxious. We were able to leave our things in one of the cabin rooms onboard, which was always open and easily accessible for outfit changes etc. There were two bathrooms available onboard as well. The owner is French so there are guides onboard that speak French, Spanish & English which can be a benefit if you're coming from a French-speaking country, we were 2 of 4 English speakers on board that day and, the crew made sure to convey everything to us in our language of choice which was appreciated. The food is really good too: we had grilled steak & chicken, salad, fruits, and sides for lunch, plus various snacks (bananas, various finger sandwiches, rum cake (with or without rum)) as well as mixed drinks and beer available upon demand all day. You can buy things at Soana Island (massages, coconut drinks, bracelets, etc. bring cash if you plan to do so) but we enjoyed just spending time in the water, on the beach, and in the shade the most. While on land at Soana Island, some of the crew will be there to mix drinks or provide beer (in plastic cups) along with some light snacks like chips. There are bathrooms on land at Soana Island too, from the boat landing it is a 5-minute walk to the beach area on Soana Island (this was the second stop of the trip). The snorkel spot (the first stop) was too windy the day we visited so we had extra time at the seastar spot (third stop) in the afternoon but you can't fault the crew for the weather. We appreciate that they were able to adjust the agenda and we still had a fabulous day onboard! We had a rental car and were able to park right out front of the office which was easy to find in town but depending on where you're staying they can arrange pickup or connect you with a taxi provider.
