You will visit the impressive Saint Stephen's Basilica built for the memory of the first Hungarian king (died in 1038). It has many statues and frescoes, as well as the mummified right hand of the first king. The church is open every day, except Sunday morning religious service.

You will see the dramatic monuments of the Nazi and Soviet occupations and dictatorships as well as the miraculous fountain (during the warm season).

You will admire one of the most impressing parliament buildings of the world with its amazing history.

The central traffic junction of Budapest. From here you can enter the old town of Pest, and the Inner City commercial and touristy center.

We will cross the river Danube and get to the Castle of Buda from where you will see the most beautiful panoramic view of the city. The Castle Quarter is the oldest district of Budapest plenty of cute Medieval dwelling houses.

As the last stop of the tour you will have the chance to admire one of the most beautiful and fascinating places in Budapest, the Fishermen's Bastion with the famous panorama over the river Danube and the Hungarian Parliament building.

We will walk around the beautiful Matthias Church built in the Middle Ages in Gothic style. Upon request it is possible to visit it inside with your tour guide. The inside visit takes about 30 minutes and includes all the rich artworks as well as a small historical exhibition on the upper floor. The church is closed on Sunday mornings during religious service, and sometimes on Saturdays due to wedding ceremonies.

The iconic bridge is under renovation currently (from 2021 to 2022).

Walk through the impressive Heroes' Square, the largest square in Budapest. In the middle of the square you find the Millennium Monument, while on its two sides you will see the Arts Hall and the Fine Arts Museum.

Visit the Millennium Monument, commemorating 1000 years of Hungarian history. In front of the monument you will find the grave of the unknown heroes, while in the colonnades around you can admire the statues of the greatest kings and leaders of the country.

Explore Budapest City Park, the oldest public park in the world. Walk over a bridge to reach an island on the lake, home to the romantic Vajdahunyad Castle. All around the courtyard there are copies of buildings representing different periods and styles of Hungarian architecture.

In the inner courtyard of the castle you will discover the interesting statue of Anonymus, the first history writer of Hungary who lived in the 12th century.

You will pass by the main building of the famous Szechenyi Baths, the largest thermal bath of Europe. Through the windows you will be able to see the outdoor pools and people swimming in the warm water.

Admire the elegant Andrassy Avenue, the 2 miles long historical thoroughfare of the city. The Millennium Subway (Budapest Metro line 1, built in 1896) runs under the avenue, and preserved its beautiful original stations.

One of the most beautiful opera theatres of the world. You will learn about its interesting history, architecture and rich artworks.

We had Bea as our guide. She was very accommodating and knowledgeable. We saw even more than we thought we were going to manage and she dropped us off at the New York Café at the end, where we had reservations. We highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I visited Budapest prior to a Viking cruise. Over the years we have been on approximately 100 tours (many through Viator) and in terms of being guided, this was the best!
Bea was/is extremely professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and personable. Now in fairness to others, for us, this was one of our few 1 on 2 tours. But, that’s what makes it a “private tour” right? Bea took us to virtually every major and minor sight in Budapest, giving us the insights that only a local can offer. She was very flexible regarding time and venues, considering our interests. Lastly, she truly wanted us to enjoy the city experience. And, because of her expertise, we did! Book this tour, ask for Bea, and you’ll wholeheartedly thank me.

Budapest is an absolute gorgeous city with so much history. We booked a full day, private city tour with Tourist Angel. Our guide was Dalia Csizmar and she did a fabulous job!
Dahlia took the time to sit with us prior to the tour to give us a brief overview of the sights and the day. More importantly, she took the time to get an understanding of our interests and reworked the entire day to accommodate them. Dalia’s was incredibly personable; her English was excellent and her in-depth knowledge of the sites was amazing. She set a high bar of expectations for how we approach any further tours.
This was a great tour with an amazing tour guide. We would highly recommend this tour.

Alexandria led us on a great tour of Budapest.
We had been in town several days, so she tailored our tour to areas we had not seen and places we wanted to explore more. Her flexibility was amazing. She took us to a lunch spot per our wishes and even helped us shop for gifts. She communicates very well and knows Budapest 's history and present. We'd highly recommend her when n Budapest.

Our guide was very professional and friendly. We also had a great driver. We walked around the city in both sides, Buda and Pest. She pointed out several historic facts and was very knowledgeable. Very interesting. We also had time for a local lunch and got from her other great recommendations. Highly recommended tour. As it was private, it was in the expensive side but well worth it.
