We had the best guide on Budapest :) She was very attentive, knew everything we asked and explained the history of every place we were passing by. This tour is definitely a must if you are a first time visitor, I recommended it 100%

Noémi was extremely knowledgeable in both historical and cultural senses, helping us develop a deeper sense of how the people of Budapest think about their city and country. She was also very sensitive to pace and personal interest, regularly inquiring about our resilience and preferences. And where we wanted recommendations, she had those at the ready.

We found out just before the tour started that we need to leave Budapest earlier than planned. When Dalia, the tour guide, arrived we explained our situation and she was happy to offer a shortened tour. Dalia was an amazing resource of knowledge about Budapest and Hungary and the walking tour was great. The sites that she showed us in the Pest side were amazing. Dalia took us to a little cake shop near the Parliament. She recommended some traditional Hungarian items. We then took the Budapest Metro subway and then a bus to the Buda side. The bus stop was right in front of the Fisherman's Bastion. Dalia explained the history of the area and took us to a great place to view the Danube and the Pest side. It was a stunning view. Dalia then did one of the kindness things ever for us. She road back with us on the bus and then the street car and stayed with us until we made it back to our river boat. Dalia was a great tour guide and an amazing person.

Essential walking tour was an excellent service during our trip to Budapest. We were a group of 8 friends led on a very informative and interactive 3 hour walking tour by Orsi who was so nice to chat to during this tour. I would highly recommend Essential Walking Tours and in particular Orsi as your tour guide.

Highly recommend this tour if you will only be in Budapest a few days. Takes you by a few of the main tourist attractions. Andreas was very knowledgeable and patient. We had a great time.

Our guide, Eva, offered a fascinating introduction to Budapest. She narrated Budapest’s history with such passion that set the stage for our wonderful holiday. She was informative and sincere which immediately made us fall in love with Budapest and her people.
