I do NOT recommend this Extreme Adventures after the Snorkeling in Nat’l Park with Beachside lunch. We were picked up at 8:15 at our resort, Haven Riviera Cancun. The tour van then spent over 2 hours 15 minutes to pickup three more groups up enroute to Puerto Morelos. We were dropped off at EA store front. A huge crane, less than 50 feet away, was drilling, making it difficult to understand the bilingual employee who was telling us what to do to prepare for snorkeling including showering outside under an open light fixture?!! and gather in a back courtyard. The sound of the drilling was approximately 120 dB.
The initial instructions about what not to bring and lockers were presented by an employee to the group without any mention of the very loud noises. Then we moved back to the EA store front where we received snorkels and water. We moved to the beach. We were given life jackets and fins and asked to pose for pics with family. We got in a boat and went to the reef while we were given snorkeling instructions. Then we were told to get in the water. The snorkeling was fine. It may have been 45 minutes snorkeling time. We got back to shore, turned in our gear and gave our taco orders to the restaurant employee. Then we went back to EA where we changed into dry clothes and were encouraged to go back to the courtyard for a disorganized, lengthy Tequila tasting. (Not mentioned on TripAdvisor). Fortunately, the drilling had ceased around noon. We were given samples of several tequilas and a long winded discussion of each. It was a thinly veiled tequila sales pitch. Then were told to go back to the front of EA for what we hoped would be our move back to the restaurant for lunch. No, instead we had to follow the EA employee through the streets of Puerto Morelo. We we led to a Puerto Morelos tourist trap and asked if we wanted to buy anything. The tour stopped for about 15 minutes while a fee members of the group looked around. The group was led through several more storefronts before finally heading back to the restaurant. Lunch was served. As we ate an EA employee attempted to sell us pics from the tour for $54 and another one begged for tips. After lunch we made our way back to EA to wait for our shuttle for another 30 minutes (drilling had resumed). We returned to Haven via the same route after 3:15. That’s 7 hours total time for maybe 45 minutes of snorkeling and three fish tacos. Unless you are staying in Puerto Morelos and can exit the tour before the tequila sale/forced shopping before they begin, it’s not worth it!!!

Start a bit bumpy, but the rest was amazing. The Kevins and Mario were just adorable! I love how patient and nice they were.

Kevin and his crew were great. I am plus sized and had my 8 year old, and they were GREAT. Everything was easy, everyone was so helpful.

Alberto was an exceptional snorkeling guide in Cancun. His knowledge of the marine life, safety protocols, and local history made the experience unforgettable. He was patient, attentive, and ensured everyone had an amazing time. Highly recommend!

Amazing excursion! It was especially windy and the crew worked hard and were friendly and helpful. We saw stingrays, sharks, beautiful tropical fish, and thriving coral. The tacos and tequila were delicious!
