Had a great time! I loved the collaboration with the team. Overall, just had a blast. I loved the way the downtown environment was used. Would highly recommend to everyone. Looking forward to doing it again.

I bought the Escapely outdoor escape room box on a whim, and were pleasantly surprised; we had an absolute blast and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I had no idea what to expect, but we were really impressed by the quality of the puzzles and of the build quality of the components in the box.
I like the hint system, and how they progressively get more helpful and cover a wide variety of circumstances. For instance, for one puzzle we didn't necessarily want any hints, we just couldn't find the real-world object, so I like how there's an option to just show you what you're looking for if you struggle to find it without spoiling the puzzle itself. It felt like we were on an actual adventure, going from one puzzle to the next and piecing together this fun narrative. We had some great "ah-ha!" moments when we discovered something. We felt so smart and cool when we figured it out. It was a pretty unique moment to have with friends.
We have nothing but positive things to say about the quality of the components inside the box, and the puzzles were super clever and unique. I really like how there's a story that ties the whole thing together—in this case, you're rushing to catch an outlaw on the lose. While the narrative won't blow you away with its depth, it's perfect for this sort of thing.

This is a super fun adventure box! It’s basically escape room puzzles and a walking tour wrapped up in one tailored to the city itself—it’s not just generic puzzles but is instead full of the quirks of the city itself. I’ve lived downtown for about ten years but I still learned a bunch of cool things about my neighborhood and got my steps in at the same time.

My friend and I did this together for our first visit to Houston, and wanted to tour the city without it feeling like a boring typical tour. We had a blast, it was exactly what we wanted! We got to know the city, have fun, and go at our own pace. We made a fun day of it by doing little stops here and there for drinks along the way. The clues were fun, not too easy and not too hard. It's the style you get at a regular indoor escape room, but much more fun being outside! The cool part too was once you would get to the next stop and solve the clue, it also gave you a little blurb of history of the place you were at. So you were seeing and learning about the city in a fun and unique way! I would definitely do it again in another city!

The puzzles were great and we enjoyed how they incorporated clues from real world, such as local businesses. We even got to see parts of Downtown Houston that we didn't know, and we got to learn some history too. The videos made it fun too.
One of the establishments that we had to stop by to get a clue was in an area that didn't feel totally safe, so be aware of your surroundings and do this activity during the day if at all possible.
I played with my husband and young adult children, and we think the difficulty of the game is about 6 out of 10.

Escapely has created interesting puzzles which are just hard enough to be fun. My grown daughter and I had a wonderful time walking around downtown Houston solving puzzles. We didn’t need any hints except for one puzzle but it was nice that there are hints to guide you to the solution and even the solution and explanation if you need it. When we were tired we could stop for a drink without any penalty.
From the minute we opened the box, we could tell that lots of thought and work went into making a fun game. The game leads you to different locations where there are pieces of the puzzle. You can’t solve the puzzles without being there. The locations are close together so there is walking but not too much.
I have been to a lot of escape rooms and many times there are problems with things not working properly. This game had no issues like that. I highly recommend Escapely.
