Arashiyama is a rural area in Kyoto with a very beautiful nature. Arashiyama is famous for its bamboo forest. Nestled on the western outskirts of Kyoto, Arashiyama offers a blend of historic charm and stunning landscapes that captivate visitors from around the world.

Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, is a revered Zen Buddhist temple located in Kyoto, Japan. Renowned for its stunning architecture and picturesque surroundings, Kinkaku-ji stands as a testament to the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship and spirituality. The temple's upper two floors are adorned with shimmering gold leaf, creating a breathtaking sight that is reflected in the tranquil pond that surrounds it.

Kiyomizu Temple is the biggest and the most famous temple in Japan and has been registered as the world heritage in UNESCO. Surrounding Kiyomizu-dera, the Higashiyama district is a treasure trove of traditional Japanese culture. Narrow lanes lined with traditional machiya houses, quaint shops, and artisan studios provide an authentic taste of old Kyoto. The historic Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka sloping streets are particularly charming and offer opportunities for exploration and discovery. Besides that you can also rent yukata to walk around Kyoto and take great pictures.

Fushimi Inari Taisha, is a sacred Shinto shrine renowned for its iconic torii gates and profound spiritual significance. Amazing your, amazing city. I highly recommend it. Kyoto is incredible and having a tour guide is the best way to experience it.

Yanagi was prompt, very considerate, spoke English very well, and was a safe driver, but we wish we booked a guide who gave more tips or feedback on our choices. We customized our day and selected: Arashiyama, Tenryuji Temple, Iwatayama (monkey park), Kinkakuji, Kiyomizu-dera, and Sanjusangen-do. We had 4 adults including a senior and 2 kids. We didn’t realize the monkey park was a literal hike up a mountain and wish we skipped it for more time around Arashiyama. We paid for Grandma to join us and she couldn’t make it up the first set of steps. It was way too steep and it just got worse from there so she turned back. Feedback on the fact that it was not senior friendly would have been helpful, but I get we should have done more research. The best part of the day was the sukiyaki lunch which was recommended and reserved by Yanagi (our driver). It was pricey ($400+), but very good. We didn’t know the cost up front so it was a bit of a shock compared with most other meals. All in all, we are happy we didn’t have to worry about navigating the buses or walking from place to place in the oppressive heat. Yanagi was great at communicating where he would be and got us where we needed to be.

I should have read the description more carefully. This is basically a car service that can take you around to different sites. That is fine, but the title and description are a bit misleading. There is no tour guide. Just a drive. Our driver was lovely, but his English was rudimentary and didn't even attempt to describe the sites, history, culture.

Our driver Lexi was very friendly and helpful! Nice SUV/van that comfortably fit our family of 4. Well worth it to be able to see most of the places we wanted to visit in Kyoto in one day. Highly recommend!

Booked this tour last minute and it was well worth it! Fuji our driver was very knowledgeable, friendly and spoke English really well. We visited all the places we wanted to see in Kyoto and he was very flexible and on time. Would highly recommend the tour.
