After leaving Tokyo from the Shinjuku Station area, you will arrive in Yamanashi Prefecture and enjoy a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji from the Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, the famous pagoda that overlooks the symbolic silhouette of Japan's most sacred mountain. Please note that there are more than 300 steps to climb, so be sure to bring appropriate footwear as well as water and towels during the summer months.
The next stop will be at Lake Kawaguchi to stop for a while at Ōishi Park and view the beautiful Mt. Fuji emerging from the lake. Here you will also have the opportunity to buy some local souvenirs, enjoy a fresh ice cream, or just take a short walk along the lakeshore.
In the afternoon we will head to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, where you will be given at least 2 hours free to shop as you wish. You will also find many restaurants and food courts where you can eat (note that meals are not included on this tour).

This was an amazing tour - well worth doing! Yoshiko the tour manager spoke fluent English and was very energetic and knowledgeable. Arai san was a great driver. We were lucky enough to see Mt fuji peeking through the clouds. We had a lovely traditional lunch on Lake Kawaguchi. All in all it was a great experience.

Couldn't visit Mt Fuji due to the heavy snow, but the rest of the attractions were amazing. Food at Lake Kawaguchi was really good. Tour guide was friendly and everyone was prompt in returning to the bus on time. Had a really good time!

We had very nice Tour Guide. She was very friendly, helpful and patient during all day (Fluent English speaking). Nice that they thought about safety and insisted on using disinfection spray provided each time when entering the bus, because at this time people around Asia were aware of virus coming from China side. Bus was big enough, My travel was on Saturday and weather was good enough, at least the first part of the day to see Mount Fuji. Unfortunately we did not get to the 5th station as road was closed and Guide told that actually there are only few month during the summer when You can get there as all other Year time roads are closed because of heavy snow. (This is probably something what should be included in Tour description, that You can reach 5th station only during the summer). Otherwise all the trip was good, we had some nice stops where to enjoy some Fabulous views, we spent some time at the village not far away from the Mount. That village gets water from the mount and it is very clean, there are several water pounds with crystal clean water and exotic fishes in it. You cant swim there but You can drink that water. Last few hours we spent at the shopping center and this is probably tho most disappointing part, because we had to leave early the water pound village where we could nicely walk, do some nice local shopping, drinking water, etc., but instead of that we had to go to shopping center and buy nothing, because all is to expensive and actually You can find all products in standart shopping center at Your own town or even any town in Japan. Beside that we had very good lunch (included) nearby the famous Cawaguchiko lake and later had a chance to taste Japanese traditional green tee (included) at special place near by the same lake. Later after shopping center we went back to Tokyo which took around 2h even if the traffic supposed to be bad. Our meeting and leaving point was the same at the Cocoon Tower near Shinjuku station. It is easy to find if just walk around the building until find bunch of Tour guides and people hanging around. Just have to ask and find Your Guide ;-) This trip definitely worth that money You will pay for it especially if You get chance to get to 5th station, but that can happen only at Summer time.
Many thanks for this Tour and attitude while having it ;-)

With the Best wishes, Janis (From Riga)

The tour is fine. The 5th station is basically souvenir shops. Sadly the weather was not that great that day. The lunch wasn't that great. The stop at the Outlets was good, there is a few good deals. As per the description your tour guide WILL NOT speak English. So communication will be extremely hard. Out tour guide was a bit all over the place. It was hard to communicate any meeting points. She was changing them all the time... so it was almost being lucky to find our tour guide sometime.

This tour is broken down into several sections: Mt. Fuji's 5th Station, Kawaguchi Lakeside & Lunch, Oshino Hakkai Spring, Gotemba Premium Outlets. The first part of the trip to Mt.Fuji's 5th Station is well worth it and a highlight. I would suggest passing on the Houtou Udon Noodle Lunch and just bringing a picnic to have on the lakeside (the lunch was less than average). The Oshino Hakkai Spring is beautiful and another favourite stop (busy though when the blossoms are out). The Gotemba Premium Outlets are a rush in 2 hours if you have a family with you and can't split up. We arrived late so our time was even more limited. If you are on your own or only want to look at a few shops, then the 1 1/2 hr - 2 hrs is fine, however if you have a family and all want to shop I'd suggest going to the Outlet mall on a separate trip.
Definitely recommend the Mt.Fuji stop and the Oshino Hakkai if the cherry blossom is in flower, but pass on the lakeside lunch and maybe do a separate trip to the Gotemba Premium Outlets.

Since we took the tour last December, Fuji Subaru Line was closed so weren't able to go to the fifth station. We instead went to the first station and the Fuji Visitor Center. Nice though that we were able to see Mt Fuji! Lunch was ok and nothing spectacular. The shopping was awesome at Gotemba since the shops were holding a sale so we maximized the 2 hour visit.

What a reasonable price to visit Mount Fuji 5th Station, Lake Kawaguchi, Oshino Hakkai, and Gotemba Premium Outlet.
