Come see animals up close in large spacious habitats. Out of Africa Wildlife Park strives to educate and entertain, to provide an exciting and engaging opportunity to love and respect creation and creator. It is a place where family and friends gather to experience oneness with animals and each other during safaris, tours, walks, observations, and shows of wild-by-nature animals in their own, natural splendor. In this way, we hope to achieve a kind of oneness with them that will cause us to consider them to be so valuable that we cannot allow them to be lost forever. We continually provide spacious and natural living habitats for animals in need, so they can become ambassadors of their own kind. We have heeded the call of those without a voice, many of whom now border on extinction.

This park exceed my expectations by far - starting with the accountant who picked up the phone to answer our questions the day before. On the general admission, we got to hand feed a giraffe, observe two bears wrestling about 20 feet away, observe lions and tigers and wolves (and boars!), and take in a porcupine show before catching the shuttle back to the entrance. This place has a conscience and keeps yours clear while you get to check out some exotic animals - all the enclosures are spacious and include amenities that seem to make the animals content. It was hot, so we didn’t stick around for the predator feed, but I wish we could have b/c I bet it was amazing. This is worth the visit, especially with kids - while our tickets got us what we came for, we also observed enough of the VIP experience from afar to make me think the upgrade is worth it too. Well done!

FAMILY? KIDS? YES!!!!! Bring your kids!!! How many times as a parent do you go to a zoo and the animals are lethargic, cramped in a cage, and the zoo is more abut selling merchandise, than the experience of what YOUR KIDS want to see. Lets be real, even as an adult, we want to truly see more. Well, Out of Africa blew me away with the tour. The place is simple. The wildlife park is very vast, and allows the animals to really roam. I wondered by this, if the animals would hide, and be a bummer to not see much. Not the case. It is as if the animals want the attention. And with frequent visits by trainers, and staff, these animals seem to want the interaction. I must say, I was amazed when the Rhino handler called the rhino by name, like calling a dog, and this huge magnificent animal came to play. You can read the activities here and make your own plan. I am writing to give the comfort to parent, this park will be a thrill for your family. The owner, I believe she said her name was Prarrie, is out and about and I could see how much she cares. This is not a corporate, money making amusement park. This is a beautiful sanctuary for a variety of animals that love the trainers. The mountain lion literally was purring as we were with the handler by the fence.
My daughter is an animal sketch artist ( Grace Olivia animal artist ) and she was able to capture so many close photos.

Thinking about going, well just go. You will love Out of Africa

This park is definitely a bit underwhelming compared to some of the zoos or comparable parks I have been to in my life.

It's clear to me that the staff here are very passionate about their work and care about the animals.

However, the facilities definitely feel a bit run down. The park is about an hour and a half away from Phoenix, so if you're in the area it could be something to do, but I don't think it's worth coming solely for this park, unless you have young kids.

Parking is super easy, and getting tickets wasn't too difficult overall. The shows were fun, but a bit short, I still think you can have a good time here, just don't expect anything you haven't seen before.

It was really fun to see and interact with so many wonderful animals. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. There’s a lot to do and see at the park and we were entertained from opening to closing. Highly recommended.

Not worth the money. Giraffes did not even move. Very disappointing for the money that we spent. Barely any animals. Drove from Phoenix and a couple waste of time. Would never recommend 😡

We went in the morning the day after they (carnivores) had been fed and some of the animals may have been a little slow to get out and about. Also, we were there the day of the eclipse which may have had some effect as well. Our driver for the shuttle around the park, Richard, was most welcoming/accommodating and full of "dad" jokes. Our safari guide (Clay?) was very knowledgeable, but his delivery was very quick and sometimes difficult to understand. The staff who presented for the shows did a good job and the connection they have with the animals was obvious. They have quite a variety of animals, especially for a facility that has no funding other than admission fees. It is definitely worth the trip.

Though I’m not a fan of caged animals on display, they did look well cared for and the enclosures were large. Our tour guide was a fabulous and informative young lady, that made our adventure fun. I was glad my grandchildren got to feed the giraffe and see all the different animals up close. Overall, it was a good time and the kiddos really enjoyed it.

I give our visit a rating of 3. The reason why I'm rating our visit as a three is due to the fact that my family wasn't able to experience the full tour experience we paid for. Instead, there weren't any shuttles available until two hours after we arrived. So we had to walk and due to us walking we didn't get to do all the activities we paid for. Another issue was that the animals weren't even available for viewing. All the animals that were visible seemed to be very low energy and looked very miserable. It's wasn't a great experience for me nor my family at all!
