On this tour will be trying some of Porto’s most alluring ‘petiscos’ (6 food portions), some of the local drinks (5 drinks) and most of all, to end up in the best way, the sweets!
During the tour we will talk about curious aspects of the food we try, and about the rich history and present of Porto.
In the end you will have an excellent perspective of Porto, and (hopefully) go with excellent memories!

Although the weather was wet and coolish, our guide Joao’s enthusiasm kept us warm. The tastings offered gave us a delicious snapshot of some of the casual food offered in Porto. Personally, it was a trip full of saudade as I had a chance to revisit places that I had not seen for decades.

We all loved this experience including our 12 year old! Joao was fantastic. He was funny, very informative and very attentive to all of his guests. One of the best tour guides we have ever had.
Then - The Food! It was delicious and there was more than enough. And the wine was an add bonus!!
Highly recommend this tour. Be sure to ask for Joao.

We do a food tour on every trip, and this one was by far the best because of Joao! The tour was fun, informative and we had lots of amazing food and drink. Joao knew everything about the food, drink and history of Porto. He also catered to everyone’s dietary requirements (I don’t eat fish) and allergies, and checked on my mum throughout when walking around the city as she has a disability and can struggle with walking and standing. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Porto.

Joo was really friendly and informative and made the whole experience really memorable.
It was great to hear some of the history of Porto as well trying the variety of foods and drinks.
My favourite were the vinho verde wine at Piolho and bifana at Conga.
Great to try food and places we would never have thought of.
Loved the variety of places and food and drinks we tried and would recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.

Joao was an excellent guide. We learned alot about Portuguese food and history. The walk itself was not too hard (not too many hills) and the stops were close to one another. Joao was very personable along with his trainee Illya. Would highly recommend to all.

We had a great tour with Joao! It was fun to see so many different neighborhoods and try a lot of different types of foods, with some fun history lessons about Portugal along the way. All of the food was delicious and the whole experience was really engaging for our multi-generational group.

We had a wonderful time on this tour with Antonio. The local Portugal food and wine were so good and paired very well. Antonio could not have been a better tour guide. He was fun and kept it light, even when we ran into some small issues like one of the restaurants being closed that we were supposed to go to. We just went somewhere else. :-)
