This new tour provides travelers the opportunity to see México City from a locals perspective. The living conditions in far apart areas, the various forms of transportation, the beautiful hills that lay up in the far north side of the city and every little aspect of the daily activities that people do to live in such a crowded place like Mexico City. A tour full of colorful houses, street art, unbelievable housing designs on steep hills, interesting historical facts about our past and our present, pulque tasting (drink of the gods)and cablecar traveling, making this a unique tour that will bring you close to our culture and give you an authentic feeling of what most Mexicans live on there day to day. During our travel, we will have a short hike up an ecological reserve in what happens to be the “last lung of Mexico City”, a big mountain range that goes around the historical barrio until we reach a pulqueria at the top like no other in Mexico City.

Our tour guide, Erick, was great. He was full of information and answered all our questions in a conversational manner. We felt like we were hanging out with a new friend for the day instead of just following a guide around. Highly recommend booking this tour to experience a unique area of CDMX.

I expected to have a nice day and see a new view of the city. I didn't expect this to be my favorite activity and the highlight of our trip, but it truly was!!
I cannot believe how incredible this experience was!! The tour guide made me feel like we were just hanging out with a friend, while somehow simultaneously being very professional and teaching us a lot about the culture and history of the area.
As someone who doesn't drink much I wasn't sure about the Pulque, it's fremented so I expected it to be strong but it wasn't at all, it was light, delicious and refreshing! Drinking this unique drink over looking the city, with a bunch of strangers who don't speak English was surprisingly comfortable. We felt 100% welcomed, no one looked at us like we didn't belong, everyone was happy to have us and made us feel like we were part of the community.

Without a doubt in my mind, we will absolutely take this tour again on our next visit! That's how much I loved it. Honestly as much as I loved Tolantongo, I would personally chose to do this tour again over a tour to Tolantongo. This experience was just beyond what I anticipated and left me wanting to come back!!
Oh and the hike!! How could I almost forgot to mention the hike!?! Although it wasn't long it was absolutely worth every step, the views of the city and surrounding neighborhoods were absolutely breathtaking!! I cannot get over how amazing this tour was.
Don't miss out on this unbeatable experience!!!

This experience was totally off the touristy beaten path and well worth it. The cable ride provided amazing views and then we had a driver pick us up and drove us to a point where we'd hike to the top of a mountain which provided even more spectacular views. We then went for pulque drink tasting which we all thought tasted so nice that we asked for a second serving.
Erik our guide was engaging all through the tour, providing relevant information as we went along and ensuring we were all ok.
Definitely recommend this tour to get a different feel of Mexico-city

Erick's Cablebus tour was the most viscerally and socially exciting tour I took during my recent time in Mexico City!
We learned that the 3 lines of the Cablebus brings folks from the hilly barrios safely and efficiently down to town [at a Metro station] for 10 pesos!
Erick's tour included a stop for a refreshing drink of Pulque, right where it was brewed from the nearby Agave plants, a ride through a nearby hilly town on vintage VW bug "taxis," and a stroll through a non-touristy market, with an opportunity to buy a local lunch.
I highly recommend Erick's Cablebus tour.

Had a fantastic tour with Erik our guide. We glided 100ft about Mexico City a vast spiralling metropolis. It gave a beautiful and informative impression of the city. One could see the neighbourhoods change as the cable car moved across the city towards the mountains. Erik was very knowledgable but also relaxed and very pleasant.
We were then met by a driver and driven through another neighbourhood of tiny streets and bustling shops and stalls Very different from Roma and Condesa but had its own beauty and massive interest especially with Erik to inform you.
We then drove to what felt like a mountain top and to a pulque brewer. We sat with 2 local guys and tried the drink It was much nicer than I thought sweet syrupy drink that was quite refreshing and not too strong. Nice experience great views.
Erik brought us back via the car and cable bus and even helped us get a taxi and gave us tips about Mexico City. Can’t recommend this tour enough with Erik of Viator
