Crucis exclusively offers walking tours of religious sites led by and created for traditional Catholics. While mainstream tour guides recount the history of a given place of interest, our devout Catholic guides are able to weave spirituality and scripture into our tours. Those of the faith, and anyone else who is interested, may enjoy an experience that is neither secular nor dismissive of that faith. Our guides are Catholic scholars who are knowledgeable in theology as well as the history and culture of the Church.

Tom was very knowledgeable and has so much story to share. He makes the history very interesting. We learned so much stuff about the beginning and the end.
Jesus is here today yesterday and forever!
Amazing ! Gave us “ goosebumps “ as we started the tour. We just realized that there are so much to learn in history of Christianity. We don’t have any favorites, all of the churches/ basilica/ cathedral are all exceptional! It was a very good experience all in all! Highly recommended .

Scheduled this tour months ago, and they cancelled it just a few days prior. They offered to do it a.day earlier, but by that ti.e i already had something else planned. So they fully refunded me and also offered a different tour for free on the same day and time, which i accepted. Unfortunately they either no-showed or I simply couldn't find the guide at the meeting point. So that day in Rome was shot. I doubt that I will work with this company again, unless they really step up their profesionalism.

We booked this tour after experiencing the St. Peter and St. Paul Tour (which was wonderful). We enjoyed our initial tour so much, we booked this tour a few days later. We were pleasantly surprised to have Tom as our guide again. He is incredible–his immense wealth of knowledge of history, art, and the Bible again was impressive, but for this tour, he arrived after being hit by a car–no joke–that is dedication and commitment. The things that made this tour special were the number of holy relics we encountered. Seeing items that were part of the life of Jesus was awe-inspiring and humbling. Tom also told us about the early church and miracles that shaped Christian life. Other tours in Rome spend a great deal of time on the pagans and Romans, but little on Christians and their vital role in shaping the history of Rome and beyond. This tour was amazing–highly recommended!!

I booked this tour to pass the time and see some interesting things but I got 200% of what I hoped for. THe relics of the passion of Christ are in Rome for all to see - who knew! But more than that, the guide was really passionate about all of it, you could tell how close this was to his heart. I think he even shed a tear at one point. Amazing.

Wonderful tour of the Relics of the Passion with a proper Catholic guide. Tour began at Santa Maria Maggiore and proceeded for about 3.5 hours around the gorgeous historical center of Rome, covering about 6 or 7 basilicas, many of which I had never heard of. The Relics of Christ are one of the best kept secrets in Rome. We also saw the Holy Steps (you can't climb them on your knees during the tour because it takes too long but you can go later for free), the ArchBasilica of San Giovanni and the Church of the Holy Cross of Jerausalem. Most important thing about this tour though was the guide - a traditional Catholic with deep understanding of our faith. Would highly recommend.

This walking tour in Rome surpassed all my expectations and left me in awe of the rich religious history here. We saw the relics of the passion of Christ, multiple basilicas, two holy doors, sites of miracles, and priceless icons. Our guide was nothing short of exceptional. His passion for the subject matter was evident from the start, and his deep understanding of the religious significance of each site, relic, and icon added a profound layer to the tour, making it both educational and spiritually uplifting. He wove together the historical context, architectural marvels, and religious significance of these sacred places and the explanations of the significance of the holy doors and the rituals associated with them deepened my understanding of the Catholic faith.
The pacing of the tour was also perfect, allowing for reflection and contemplation at each site without feeling rushed. An exceptional blend of history, spirituality, and cultural exploration.
It’s quite a walk - so not for those with mobility issues - but worth every step.
