This tour gives travelers a good oportunity to not only have fun in the river, but to get to know a charming part of Rio de Janeiro state.
Our Rafting Trip happens 2 hours away by car, from Rio de Janeiro city, in the country side of Rio state in the Paraibuna river. This river is located in a town called Três Rios ,about 170 km from Rio city
The whole trip takes about 8 to 9 hours, with about 2 hours of pure adrenaline.
The rapids on Paraibuna river are usually safe and fun for families and groups of friends, ranging from level 1 to 3. Price includes pick up and drop off in Rio city, rafting, guiding services and equipment rentals ( lifevests, helmets, paddles)
We offer free high resolution gopro photos and video, sent after a few days via email, with a dropbox link to access it.

Amazing times especially with the Adventure dog Lu! She’s a sweet dog that comes with you on the raft (optional) but totally recommended!

this experience was amazing. both of guides were excellent and entertaining. they took us from easy to hard. you definitely get wet and experience the gushing river. worth every penny.
the place is about 1.5 hrs from rio. our guide was Be Braga. he was very friendly and gave us alot of information about the history of rio, the foods, and people. the was a great guys. we even met him again at another tour and he came up to us to say hello.

Rio Adventure is a very reliable company to organize some very good tours in Rio. I just returned from a rafting in três rios with my company mates and it was an amazing experience in all senses. Rodrigo is a great guide and driver and the guys responsible for the boat tour are great. I fully recommend their services!

We were 6 colleagues doing a team-building and Rio Adventure suggested us the White Water Rafting at Paraibuna River which was an excellent recommendation.
Everything from start to finish was excellent that being:
- Tailormade service by attendants on WhattsApp
- Great driver who was timely and extremely friendly and speaking both English and Portuguese
- Excellent crew at the rafting place who were educated and professional and knew everything about the area and the River (and not least the rafting itself)
- The base camp was well equipped with lockers, showers and a great view of the river
- The lunch included was excellent
- The rafting itself was amazing and it can be done by most people due to the great instructors on the tour
Everything went exactly as described and planned and we could not have been more satisfied with the service and the experience - it was awesome!!

Very good experience overall, the staff was very welcoming, equipment was in excellent conditions and they have plenty for everyone and they demonstrated they knowledge of the river, even when the river level only created a level 2/3 for the rafting they knew the points where to create excitement and increase the fun. Definitely recommend!

Super smooth experience from pick up outside hotel out to 3 Rios! Rafting guides and driver were all super friendly. Rafting itself is super safe and mellow, recommend for a fun day outside with a nice river swim included. Food + drinks included after the rafting.

Great day out white water rafting in the mountains a couple hours out of Rio, very friendly instructors - the guy who headed the raft only spoke Portuguese but the company put an English speaking guide on the rafter as well so we were fully involved - would recommend!

Had the best time with Didi, Gustavo and Felipe. Saw many birds including toucans and we were lucky enough to see a capybara as well. Rapids were pretty mild but Gustavo really made it such a fun experience. Highly recommend!!! Easy to book. Would recommend going direct through Rio Adventures and not using the travel platforms.
