The chapel has its origins in an old wooden chapel built in honour of Santa Catarina. The construction of the building that exists today dates back to the end of the 18th century, when the Brotherhood of the Souls and Wounds of St Francis moved from the Monastery of Santa Clara to the Chapel of St Catherine.

The Igreja da Trindade is a church in the city of Porto in Portugal, located in Praça da Trindade behind the Porto Town Hall. It was built throughout the 19th century to a design by architect Carlos Amarante.

The Palácio da Bolsa, or Palácio da Associação Comercial do Porto, a neoclassical building, began construction on 6 October 1842, the solemn date of the laying of the first stone, given the closure of the Casa da Bolsa do Comércio, which forced Portuguese traders to discuss their business in the open air.

The Miradouro da Vitória is located right in the heart of the old Jewish quarter. The history of this Jewish neighbourhood tells us that in the 14th century, King João I demarcated an area where all the Jews had to live, with high walls and access gates - it was like a city within the city of Porto. This period lasted around 100 years, until the arrival of the Inquisition.

We had a fantastic time with Carlos! He was able to share his knowledge of Porto history and provide us with ample time to stop and take pictures. He catered the tour to what we wanted to see, and I would highly recommend him again.

Beatriz was exceptional! She gave us an amazing and comprehensive tour of Porto and Gaia- we truly saw all of the significant sights on our wish list and more. Her English is perfect and she shared a wealth of history & helpful hints about Porto that greatly enhanced our stay. She gave us time for stops- the market, sardine store,the cod cake store and other points of interest. She was pleasant and made the excursion fun and comfortable. We considered it the best decision we made during our short stay and highly recommend her! She’s the best!

Or guide,Murillo, was so funny and entertaining, he had a lot of experience travelling the world and his knowledge of porto was excellent. He was very easy going and tailored the tour for us rather than just going through the routine. Going through the small fisherman's village and to a chapel on the beach was really interesting. Very glad we chose this tour. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience! A great three hour private tour with Carlos today and he was great!! We just got in from our flight and overslept so we texted and started an hour late and the tour accommodated us. Carlos was very informative, and took us to places that we never would've found on our own, including his favorite places. Carlos knew a lot of history and historical landmarks. Highest recommendation!!!
