My partner and I spent the day with Ama touring the island and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Ama was clearly so knowledgeable about the history and culture of Hawaii, and just about everybody knew him too. We saw and did incredible things and would absolutely recommend to anyone interested.

My partner and I recently got home from the most amazing trip to Oahu + Kona. By far, the best part of being in Oahu was our tour with Ama. Calling it a "tour" almost feels wrong, because we got such an in-depth experience with so much of the island. Ama couldn't have been a more interesting person to check out the island with. He gave my partner and I tons of stories, history, real parts of what makes the area so special. HIGHLY recommend to anyone considering.

Thank you Melissa. It was a great experience. The van was roomy & clean with Fantastic AC. Melissa is a lovely person & is an excellent & safe driver. She had extensive knowledge of the island, history & culture of the Hawaiian people which she readily shared. Thank you allowing the kids to snack at a drive through keeping our hungry teens from getting hangry & them going for 10 hours!

Simina was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable of history and culture of Hawaii. Also very flexible to go and do what we wanted to see. Gave great suggestions for locations and provided in depth descriptions and history of locations. Definitely highly recommend this tour

North Shore and pineapple plantation were the best parts of the tour. However, the tour did not live up to my expectations. The tour was overpriced for what we received.

Even in for private customized tour, this tour had a previous informed list of activicties but the driver/guide didnt want to follow. In the end he did it, and we visited most of them, but it turned into an ackward mood day.

This was a wonderful tour! I researched a lot and knew that I didn’t want a big group tour but some of the private tours were so expensive! I wasn’t sure if it was going to just be me and my bestie or a few other people would join but it was just us. We got to modify the tour and focus on the places we wanted to go and spend more time and the places we could skip. Tom coordinated everything with me the day before so we were ready to roll the next morning. He picked us up at 9:30am in the Mercedes sprinter. We brought a bag with extra shoes and clothes to change into so we could get some good pics in cute outfits but be ready to walk to the waterfall. Tom was very knowledgeable about the island and answered all our questions. Everywhere we went was great, we had a fabulous time and I suggest if you are thinking about booking, you should!

My wife and I did the private tour the day our NCL ship docked, waiting for our 10 pm flight. We spent a wonderful day with our tour guide "Ama" and enjoyed the tour, history and visiting about the culture. So if you ever want a relaxing time with engaging conversation, ask to hang loose with Ama. We loved it.
