This tour begins with a pick-up from the meeting point in the city of Porto. We started the tour in a comfortable van for 6 people. We head to the Paiva walkways where you will cross the suspension bridge at Arouca 516: one of the LONGEST SUSPENSION BRIDGE IN THE WORLD! The Arouca bridge is 516m long and 175m high over the Paiva River. The base of the bridge is made of a metal mesh open to the cliff. Has courage? The Paiva Walkways are an extraordinary wooden path in the heart of Arouca Geopark, classified as a UNESCO geological site. You will walk around 8 km, always accompanied by the sound of the waters of the Paiva River, with our guide. Is lunch meat? surprise typical dish baked in clay pots in a typical restaurant in the region. There are fish or vegetarian options. Before returning to Porto, we will visit the city of Arouca and appreciate the local culture and buildings with traditional Portuguese architecture. An admirable experience!

My friend and I recently went on a tour that featured a 4km hike and a suspension bridge crossing, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Our tour guides, Elvis and Luana, were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout the journey.

The hike itself was enjoyable, offering beautiful scenery and a good bit of exercise. The highlight was undoubtedly the suspension bridge, which provided an exhilarating experience and fantastic views. The timing to get to the bridge was crucial, as it coordinated with when we could be on the suspension bridge, adding a bit of excitement to the experience.

However, I did feel the tour was somewhat overpriced for what it included.

The hike and the bridge crossing together took about an hour, and the additional activities, like visiting the church by the restaurant and park, were rather uneventful. While the tour offers the option to extend the walk to a 7km trek, this pushes lunch even later into the afternoon. By that time, we were very hungry, which affected our enjoyment of the extended hike.

That said, the lunch was fantastic and made up for the tour's shortcomings. The goat meat with vegetables and homemade bread was delicious and satisfying, providing a perfect end to the experience.

In summary, while the guides were excellent and the hike and bridge were enjoyable, the overall value of the tour could be improved. However, the incredible lunch was a definite highlight and somewhat compensated for the tour's cost.
