The tour departs from the cruise terminal towards Castelmola (approximately 45 minutes by road).
Castelmola is a small village on the top of Taormina with a wonderful view of Mount Etna.
After about an hour we move to Taormina, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, reachable only on foot and full of shops and restaurants.
After about 2 or 3 hours we return to Messina, but not before a nice panoramic tour of Isola Bella.
As a last stop, we will visit the Sanctuary of Christ the King, a panoramic point over the Strait of Messina, and the Duomo cathedral, where you can admire the largest astronomical clock in Europe.
The timetable is designed to make the most of your time in Sicily and to be perfectly on time with the cruise ship.

I highly recommend this awesome tour in Sicily! Alberto was our driver and Kiara our guide and both were terrific! Easy pick up as soon as we got off the cruise ship in Messina. We were a group of 6 and added a stop in Savoca. Next we continued onto Castelmola, Taormina and then Messina. Our favorite excursion of our trip! Truly a must do. Thank you!!!

Definitely recommend doing a tour with Alberto! He organized a private tour and guide for my family for a cruise stop in Messina to Castelmola and Taormina, along with a beautiful lunch with amazing views, and was flexible with needs of kids and added a stop at the end to go to a beach club. The van was spacious and had great AC and communication was great from pre-planning, pickup and throughput. Thanks again!!

The excursion was wonderful! I would recommend it, alberto was very nice and available to any of our requests. The tour is suitable for all ages since alberto can arrange the tour based on your needs. The tour guide is also very helpful and knowledgeable. We had a great time!

I can’t even express enough how amazing Alberto was! Communication was great from the start. He responds very quickly to all messages and is very professional. Our group was on a cruise so timing was very important to us so he made sure we got to see everything and back right on time for our ship. We ended at an amazing cafe with yummy treats AND he’s also an amazing photographer. Book local and you won’t ever regret it!! If I could give him more than 5 stars I would! Thank you again Alberto for making our day amazing

Sicily was an absolute highlight for us - thanks to this wonderful excursion with Alberto. He was friendly, kind, and took us to the most beautiful places. Even included some treats along the way to make the whole experience so authentic. Thanks to Alberto’s tour, Taormina and Castelmola will always have a piece of my heart.

Alberto is an attentive guide that customizes the tour to your preferences. He droves us to all the best locations in Taoromina and Castelmora. We had lots of time for photos, shopping and dining. He provides the perfect balance of teaching you about what you’re seeing and giving you free time. We visited as a private excursion from the cruise ship. He drove around our family of five in a minivan. I would highly recommend booking this tour!
