Savoca is world renowned for her vital part in Francis Ford Coppola's classic trilogy: “The Godfather”. In this village you will visit the famous Bar Vitelli to admire movie memorabilia. The Bar is known as the place where Michael Corleone meets Mr. Vitelli and asks his permission to woo his daughter Apollonia, the official engagement will also take place here. After visiting the Church of Santa Lucia, you will trace the path that the bride and groom took during the wedding ceremony. The next stop is Forza D'Agro which is the backdrop to many scenes filmed in the trilogy: you will see typical alleys and a series of historic churches. Forza D'Agrò was also chosen by Francis Ford Coppola for his "The Godfather - Part III": the scene in which the old Michael shows his American wife the birthplace of his father Vito Andolini from Corleone was filmed here. In the charming village you can have your lunch and then return to the meeting point.
