The Do Eat Better Experience food tour is a walking tour around the historical center of Malaga. The tourist is guided by a "Foodie", a local "buddy" able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities.
Do Eat Better Experience tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing spanish culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. This is the reason why we accept small groups only: we want to focus on a genuine exchange and give to each tourist the highest attention possible.
Please, note that the tour is always run in English and Spanish; other languages upon request.

My wife, father and I were excited to see the market in Malaga. We arrived early at the beautiful hotel meeting point. Ester was right on time and greeted us with the most pleasant smile! Her energy from the very beginning was contagious! Our group was complete when two other ladies joined us.
We crossed the street and had seats in front of the market. This is a busy downtown area with working folks having lunch along with us tourists.
This is the first stop of four where we experienced different local cuisine and wine/beer. We thoroughly enjoyed each one!
Ester answered all of our questions and was extremely knowledgeable. Her enthusiasm was palpable.
We originally thought that a walk through the actual marketplace would be part of the tour…it is not. That would be the only suggestion I would make. When we mentioned this to Ester, she readily accommodated us. We walked through the market to experience its different sights, smells and the vibrant colors of all the fresh seafood, produce etc.
I definitely recommend this tour. We all agreed the simple walk through the Market should be included. Thanks to Ester for being gracious and honoring that request. And for making it a most enjoyable experience!

Maria and Jose were incredible guides for my wife and I! We started at the Mercado de Atarazanas and hit a few spots after that. We tried lots of typical comida malagueña, drank local wines and beers, and chat around the table. Maria even sent us some recipes of these dishes because we said we liked cooking. Overall 10/10!

Our tour guide was amazing. He gave my wife and I a greater understanding of the food eaten by the locals in Malaga. We not only sampled great food but received recommendations for places to try later.

Take care where you eat at this very busy venue. Food varies from place to place . Poor service and making a quick buck from tourists

A great day out. Maria was so friendly and helpful, a real pleasure to spend time with her. The added bonus was the tapas and local wine. We were taken to places we would never have found on our own and introduced to local specialities. Would highly recommend.

The tour was great. Maria shared great history and pointed out numerous point during our walk. Maria was great and took us to some restaurants that had only locals. The food was exceptionally good. The tortilla potatas were fantastic. I highly recommend this tour and I hope you get Maria.

Lovely host Marie really made the tour for just 4 of us She took us to local bars off the tourist trip amd told us stories about the city we would never have known about . Visited 5 little bars/ restaurants and samples lovely local food . It was great experience and met lovely couple from Cork . Def great value and very enjoyable
