Clérigos Tower has marked Porto city's skyline for more than 250 years. In mid-18th century was one of the highest towers in Europe. The Baroque church is magnificent and we will visit it. For the tower it will be needed a ticket for a 30 minutes duration visit.

This building, commissioned in 1765, is a unique example of the judicial/prison architecture of the Old Regime. Nowadays it is a museologic center of Photography.

"Battle Square": the Bohemian 19th century square in Porto. See from the outside: Teatro Nacional São João, Cinema Batalha and Igreja de Santo Ildefonso.

Founded in the 15th century along with the convent of the Poor Clare Nuns of the Rule of St. Francis. The interior of the church is notable for its rich gilded woodcarvings.

It dates to the 12th century and has the appearance of a medieval fortress, including battlements. The street formerly called "Straw Street". We are now at the heart of the Medieval Historic Center, going down the picturesque Penaventosa Neighborhood.

A splendid harmonious square with three major buildings: the Mercado Ferreira Borges, the Palácio da Bolsa and the Igreja de São Francisco. Imposing, the statue in the centre of the square: the Estátua do Infante D. Henrique.

The richness of the gilded woodcarvings within this church is astonishing. There are more than 200 kilograms of gold on the main altar, columns, pillars, the statues of angels and the garlands and animals.

After the bustling Cantareira, we will pass the Lighthouse de São Miguel-o-Anjo and we will find the Jardim do Passeio Alegre, one of the most beautiful gardens in Porto. Fortress São João Baptista da Foz do Douro.

This is one of Portos's finest churches, with its Baroque façade and the high-up niche dispaying the parish's patron, St John the Baptist.
