Great tour. Excellent guy. I believe Shawn was his name. The grounds are spectacular despite the extreme heat and humidity.
Given that the house was not super impressive, I’d recommend you add more information and history of the slaves who lived in the plantation. Including those who did not continue to live there after they were freed. That’s a big part of US history and the plantation’s history.

Excellent tour! Your guide Shawn shared his knowledge on the drive to the plantation. Susan, docent, in the house tour was friendly, knowledgeable, and humorous. The tram driver for the wildlife tour was knowledgeable and share the different characteristics of the birds and other wildlife; he certainly could spot the alligators!! Finally the woman who lectured about the enslaved on the plantation was also excellent!

The plantation was more than I expected. The wildlife, flowers, trails, and antiques made this a most memorable day. After a long ride through the paths we rested - rocked - until it was our turn to enter the pristine mansion. Friendly guides were the icing on the cake for this fabulous day.

The old plantation house is interesting and filled with old antique pieces dating back to as early as the 1700s. The gardens are stunning. Recommend a visit.

The historical lineages- loving and devoted to the preservation. Everyone was so friendly and Helen’s seemed to truly enjoy what they were doing. The slavery to freedom presentation was very authentic.
