The staff were absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough for us, especially Jai Gautam, one of the managers, who went above and beyond what was expected. The decor and facilities were first class.

“The Imperial“ is just the perfect place to stay in New Delhi. The hotel is a jewel – classy, heritage/colonial style and modern in one. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I have been many times there and every time it is a great experience. Pool area is wonderful, Spa offers you utmost recreation – especially Margareth (therapist) gave me a striking massage for my tense back and stiff neck; Gym/Yoga hall are best equipped. Breakfast is at is best so as service and ambiance at the “1911 Restaurant“ are great.

Historic hotel in New Delhi, in pure English and Indian traditions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool is very large and very pleasant. I particularly recommend the Indian restaurant, top-notch setting, cuisine and service.

The Imperial Hotel is not new to me. In the period 1960s,70s, 80s, it was a colonial structure and the ambience was the main attraction with Delhi's famous market Connaught Place, next door.
This hotel has morphed completely into an upper end habitat. Superbly restored with an old world charm.
Now for my review. My wife and I , dropped in for lunch a few days ago at the restaurant at the Imperial called 1911. Very good menu and the service was great. Good old Golden Crumb Fried Fish( with international quality tartare sauce) and possibly the best ever vegetable broth. Made our day. The cooked vegetables here, are worth commenting on. So fresh, crunchy and tender. Have not seen this quality anywhere in India or abroad.
It was a Sunday. The brunch buffet was on. We were amazed to see the cold seafood. Oysters, lobsters, squid. All great quality.
Our compliments go out to the Sr.VP. Louis Saifer, F&B Director Surender Singh Thakur, and Service specialists Anoop and Atul.
Highly recommended for tourists and business visitors. The beautiful rooms now, in off-season are priced attractively. Like I said , food and service is wonderful. The four specialty restaurants are also good. Though I have not been there lately.
Try out the Imperial.

Not high tea, but cocktails! Santari sling and Pineapple cardamom martini, designed by Mr Aman, and served in style by Mr Nikhil. Perfect for high tea, or breakfast, or any other time, really

We booked high tea our first day in Delhi, which turned out to be a Wednesday. Last time we had a sensational high tea at the Atrium, there was a mouth-watering choice on offer on the buffet. Not this time : a 3-tier high tea stand was brought out with some scones, hearty sandwiches and sweets. Admittedly, we could order more of the same, but none of what they offered was super delicious, so we didn't bother.
It looks like they only have selected days for the "buffet high tea", which is so popular and high quality, but not on Wednesday . . .
I wish they would have told us prior, because this was not a memorable experience.

The atmosphere at the Atrium is fabulous- you really do feel you’re in an European city with apartments looking down on you. The three tiered plates with warm scones with clotted cream and strawberry compote, cucumber, egg and chicken sandwiches and chocolate pastries are to die for. We were served by Adarsh who was so helpful and enthusiastic. Altogether a delightful treat for our wedding anniversary!

This is a fantastic hotel to stay in New Delhi... An absolute five star experience... The hotel has friendly, helpful, professional staff... Has soon as you arrive the staff are on hand to help with you from baggage to opening doors, directing you to check in, taking you to your rooms... The restaurants are exceptional with a wide range of food and drinks... The facilities at the hotel are second to none... A huge thank you Manish Mehtr (apologies if the spelling is wrong) who gave us history lessons on Indian culture as well as making us excellent cocktails and a whole host of other drinks... The hotel is a must stay and thank you so much for looking after us... Simon and Rebecca Beck...
