Visit two absolute must-sees in the Sicilian capital with this guided tour of the Palazzo dei Normanni and Cappella Palatina, including entrance tickets. With more than 800 years of history, it’s perfect for culture vultures! Of all the incredible attractions in Palermo, the Palazzo dei Normanni is one that you can’t miss off your itinerary. Once the seat of the King of Sicily, it is the oldest royal residence in Europe and you can learn the history of all the dynasties who had their thrones here - as well as visiting a stunning and sublime channel.
You’ll get exclusive entrance into the palace and its gardens
Though not as well known as Rome’s Sistine Chapel or Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, the Cappella Palatina (or Palatine Chapel) is one of the most spectacular in all of Italy.
Not only do your tickets allow you entrance to the palace and chapel, but you can explore the gardens too with your expert guide!

How lucky was I to be the only guest on this particular tour! Laura was so wonderful and it was like walking through with a learned friend. She was so knowledgeable explaining all the details and the Chapel truly took my breath away. Not to be missed ☺️

Pietro (Peter) explains things with the intelligence of a school teacher and the passion of an absolute madman. Me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the tour and felt like we learned plenty of new things.

The palace is beautiful, but the palatine chapel is impressive, there are too many people, it is better to go when the chapel opens, otherwise people talk very loudly and you will not find out what the audio guide is telling you

The palace has been remodeled over the centuries. An Arab palace, it was in the 11th century after the conquest by the Normans that it became the seat of power. The newer rooms are not very exciting. You have to take some time in King Roger's room with its mosaics without religious significance and stop to admire the Palatine Chapel which ablaze with all the superlatives.
