Experience the world of the Cu Chi freedom fighters with a visit to their famous tunnel system. This network of over 200 km of tunnels became legendary during the 1960's when they played a vital part in the American War, allowing the Viet Cong to control a large rural area close to Ho Chi Minh City. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities.

Our Guide Thao was a real delight so full of knowledge about the site and the different ways in which the Vietnamese were able to cope and survive and maintain their culture through these difficult years of conflict. She was also so helpful in showing us where to find other things that interested us in HCMC. She organised a lovely roadside lunch for us and was so quick with providing sanitising towels and insect repellent. She took wonderful photos of us in and around the tunnels. Our experience was greatly enhanced due to her charm and generosity of enthusiasm. Well done!

I did a Cu Chi tour with a different company a few years ago and our tour with Mia and Urban Adventures was far superior! She was very clear and gave lots of great information on the drive and at the site itself. Would highly recommend!

Had an amazing time. This is more than just a trip in the tunnel. You learn so much about how the Vietcong evaded the US troops. It was fascinating. Our tour guide Nancy was fabulous.

Our guide Nancy was very informative and quite a refreshing character. The drive from our hotel and back to the caves was a 3 hour round trip but worth it. Highly recommend the tour.

This tour is a must. NANCY our guide was brilliant, and full of knowledge. We were a small group of 4 and her attention to detail was frankly excellent. The trip itself was mind blowing, my best experience in Vietnam

Informative, enjoyable, & well-paced. I have learnt so much about the Vietnam war in this tour and highly recommend those with a day gap in HCMC to take this tour.
The tunnels themselves are incredible and a must-see, and this tour really offers excellent insight into how and why these tunnels were created and used. It goes beyond a “2D” subject and really made it a “3D” comprehensive experience.
My group and I booked as an add-on to our Intrepid Vietnam trip and everyone who went on the tour thought it was exceptional. Our tour guide, Travis, was easily the best tour guide we had. His understanding of the war and ability to break it down into bite sized pieces was really great.
As pictured, we got to try a unique war-time food. But I won’t spoil it 😉.
Highly recommend this tour for teens and above, the tunnels & content itself may be too heavy or scary for younger children.
NOTE: This is *not* in control of the tour and is simply a downside to the museum itself (the whole nearby area of the tunnels is effected), but there’s a shooting range around the mid-point of the museum’s circuit. **Those with PTSD relating to guns & small children may not enjoy the tour/tunnels as a result**. I’m not sure if there’s a way around this.
