Meet your guide at Duomo Square and start discovering the most famous monument in the heart of Florence. Your included Brunelleschi Pass gives you pre-reserved access to all attractions in the Duomo Complex: Museum, Baptistery, the Cathedral, and Brunelleschi's Dome.

Enter the iconic cathedral from a separate entrance for small groups. In the company of your expert guide, learn about the Cathedral, its construction through the centuries, and how it came to be the center of Florence's religious life. Your guide will help you understand how the Duomo relates to all of the other gorgeous buildings in the Square. Your Brunelleschi Pass will give you access to the Cathedral and other monuments.

Choose to climb Giotto's bell tower, one of the four principal monuments on the Piazza del Duomo, at your own pace. Decked out in white, pink, and green marble like the cathedral next to it, this majestic square bell tower is considered to be the most beautiful campanile in Italy. In fact, it was probably designed more for decorative than for functional purposes. Your tickets allow you to access the Bell Tower for 72 hours.

• The Cathedral of Florence is an “operating” church that can be closed to visitors for any liturgical reason, even without warning (for the funeral of a Cardinal, for example)
• Consider leaving a buffer before your next tour as the Cupola climb may take longer than expected
• Please be aware that the off season is an opportunity for restoration work, often unannounced.
• Visitors are advised that the Baptistery is undergoing restoration of the mosaics of the vault. We apologize for the inconvenience.
• Entry to the Cathedral is not guaranteed as the Cathedral is a working church and hours can change without notice due to liturgical or other reasons. Our guides make every effort to enter the Cathedral with guests.
• Please note that backpacks of any size or dimension, and any bag designed to be worn on the back, are not allowed.
• Florence can be very warm in the summer. Please be advised that this tour includes portions that are outside and could be in the full sun. Please bring a hat, small umbrella, or sunscreen if you are sensitive to the sun.
• Clients must arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This is due to the timed entry of the tickets.
• Tickets are timed and expire within 5 to 10 minutes.
• Please be advised that it is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.
• Please note that the Cathedral is closed to all tourists on Sundays. Instead, we will visit the Ancient Basilica of Santa Reparata (the Crypt).
• There are 463 steps to climb the dome at the end of the tour (and no elevator).

Our tour guide, Sara, was amazing! She is excellent at her craft. The tour was quite comprehensive. Her wit and depth of knowledge about every aspect of the subject matter made it entertaining and fun. I would recommend this particular tour and guide a thousand times over!

This is wonderful way to see the Duomo and Brunelleschi’s Dome. The meet up is easy. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful . He really helped us to understand what we were seeing in the context of the history of Florence. The views for the Dome are stunning. The ticket allows you to go back and see other buildings in the complex not covered in the tour. It was a highlight of our stay in Florence.

We had a wonderful afternoon with Sara at the Duomo. She had a wealth of knowledge of the history, culture and art of not just the Duomo but of Florence and she shared her knowledge generously. She kept us engaged and entertained - more impressively, kept our three young kids engaged throughout the tour.
The Duomo is an incredible site and it's important to have an excellent guide to make the experience special. In addition, we booked this particular date as it was my husband's 40th birthday. This tour, with Sara as our guide made for a very special day.

We had an amazing experience at the Duomo. Eleanora was fantastic. Even though we had to detour due to special circumstances and celebrations, she easily maneuvered our group as though it was the same tour she did every day. She was so insightful and informative. Disappointing experience overall. The guide arrived late and seemed unprepared. She also missed our time slot to visit the tower. The group tour provided no benefit in terms of skipping the lines.
