Really disappointed with The Ginger Factory. The train would have been pleasant if they didn’t have an automated message playing the whole time trying to upsell your visit. The boat ride line was also extremely long due to the fact they were only loading single groups on boats for photo purposes. The boat ride is extremely outdated and bordering on cultural appropriation. If they had of loaded the boats with more people the line would have been much faster. It’s not a Ginger Factory, it’s a place designed to exploit parents of young children by upselling them from the second they enter. Avoid!

Family tradition to visit the ginger factory I visited with my Nan & it was very nice to visit today with our first grandchild.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful
The gardens are lovely to walk through.
It was really nice to ride on the train haven’t done it in many years.
We had our fill on gingerbread men yumm
The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was no longer being able to purchase a ginger man stuffed toy apparently the ginger factory no longer makes them.

Must go for a family trip. Unlimited Train and Boat Rides Friendly and entertaining staffs. Great tasting and the retail store with discounts if you book for the tour Love the Ginger Shots and Naked Ginger .

From the entrance to the foliage around, the rides and shops..it was just amazing.
We loved the ginger tour and tasting. Also loved the bee talk.
Obviously the train ride was a winner.
The staff were amazing and passionate about ginger. Honey and nature.

My husband and I took my daughter, son-in-law and their 2 year old.
A great time was had by all. The play equipment was a real hit with 2 year old. I bought the bundle, as I thought it was the best deal. I did not understand that it did not include the 2 tours. I then bought them separately when we got there. Next time I will read the details more carefully. My husband and I had the 2 tours twice before, so did not buy tickets for that for us, but the other 2 adults really enjoyed both presenter talks. Great day. We spent the entire day there.....

You can spend a whole day here and with the bundle tickets, your young ones will love hopping from one ride to another. The caffe selection is quite good, especially their offering of ginger beers. There are multiple well stocked souvenir shops inside. On a whole, this place ticks all boxes for an amazing family day out

It’s great fun for kids. This is our third or fourth annual visit with grandchildren now 8 and 5. They were both bursting to return. Their favourite is the boat but even the factory tour appealed especially to the 8 year old given the fun and detailed presentation and the snack at the end demonstrating the diverse application of ginger . The train is always a hoot. They passed on the bee presentation which they found too detailed last year. Food is ok but not a highlight.
