Without question, this tour route is the most unique kayak tour in the area and offers guests with the greatest opportunity to spot bucket list wildlife while visiting the Everglades area. This tour launches from a permit only launch site within the 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge. This route requires proper planning and expert knowledge due to the fluctuating tides. No other company is capable or willing to take the time needed for this type of planning. Guests will start their paddle through the salt marsh, a popular feeding zone for numerous long-legged wading birds and river otters. 30 minutes in guests will notice a change in habitat, transitioning into Mangroves, indicating a change in salinity and elevation. This is where you will enter one of the best Mangrove Tunnels in the county. After numerous mangrove tunnels, creeks and ponds and hopefully tons of wildlife guests will then empty out into a manatee safe zone the Faka-union Canal. Year Round expert kayak guides included!

The company advertised free cancellations but I had to pay for the two bookings I made, $200+, even though I made the booking on a Friday and cancelled it the same day. Fooey to this place.

The tour was interresting and very serene, a good way to start the day. Ty did an excellent job educating us about local plants and wildlife and was very friendly and welcoming! I would recommend this tour to anyone who are interested in seeing more of Everglades. And you don't have to be experienced in kayaking, it is very beginner friendly!

The kayaking tour through the mangroves was great. Justin, our tour-guide, gave all the in and outs of the area. I can highly recommend it if you’re looking for a more in depth tour of the Everglades. Justin also went through great efforts to give us the best chance to spot wildlife. We spotted some gators, but unfortunately no manatees. In wildlife that’s never a guarantee, so the more reason to comeback someday!

You will need to apply bug spray generously because in the mangrove tunnels there are many mosquitos waiting and salivating. Lol. That aside, the tour was truly amazing. The kayaking itself wasn't too difficult despite our lack of experience. The scenery, especially the mangrove tunnels, were stunning (these photos don't do it justice at all). Ty, our guide, was friendly, funny, and very knowledgable, and though all the other group members except my mom and I canceled that day, he still went the full distance and gave us an awesome tour. There was plenty of wildlife along the route, and one of the most memorable moments was being able to see schools of fish and even juvenile bull sharks swim through the clear water underneath our kayak. Overall, this experience was totally worth it. I highly recommend this tour!

Ty was an excellent guide. We saw many birds, fish, plants -- that you're not likely to see from a boardwalk, trail or road.
