Explore the Bush in a 4x4 game viewer to find the elephants roaming freely in their own environment. Once you find them, we will stop to take photographs of these gentle giants. We then proceed to Lesedi Cultural Village where we get to explore the Zulu, Basotho, Xhosa and Pedi Villages to see just how they live and their different cultural styles before heading off to the Boma to witness an amazing display of their music and dancing skills. After the show enjoy a traditional buffet lunch ranging from Crocodile, Ostrich, Lamb, Beef and Chicken and a variety of vegetables, with the Chief Himself.

This was an experience of a lifetime!
From the moment I was picked up, my tour guide, Mike was the best. Professional, kind, funny and knowledgeable. Wildside Tours are super easy to organise, as they’re quick to answer questions and ensure your safety throughout. You can see the passion they have for the animals and they allow you to get up close and share yours. They go above & beyond for an unforgettable experience. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We were in South Africa on a (literally!) flying visit to Pretoria from Scotland for a rugby match. With a spare day before our journey home, we booked the tour to walk with elephants and visit the Lesedi Cultural Village.
Tim was a fantastic, hospitable and extremely knowledgeable guide and nothing was too much trouble. The experience itself was simply wonderful. We visited Glen Afric Country Lodge and had coffee and muffins before being driven out to meet the three female elephants who roam on the estate. Just amazing being so close to these magnificent creatures. Tim photographed the whole experience so we have some wonderful memories of this once in a lifetime experience.
We then went on to the Lesedi Cultural Village where we learned so much about African tribal history and had the opportunity to do some drumming. Lunch was traditional African food - delicious!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Wildside Tours & Safaris and would happily book with them again. An unforgettable day - definitely 5 stars!!

We booked our half day elephant safari with Tim a few days before traveling to Johannesburg. Tim picked us up from our hotel and we had hot teas & coffees with cookies as we drove the 50 minutes or so to Glen Afric. We had more hot drinks, muffins and got to sit and take in the spectacular views when we arrived at the lodge. We were then driven to the elephants who are roaming freely. We got to see them up close…touch them and got some great pics courtesy of Tim. On our travels we also came close to giraffes, wildebeest and wild boars. We also drove to the Lion, Tiger, Leopard & Cheetah enclosures and learnt some interesting facts about these animals as well as seeing them up close. Afterwards we returned to the Lodge and enjoyed a cold beer/wine in the sunshine before being driven back to our hotel. We had an amazing experience and Tim is the loveliest guy, a real gent (funny too ) We’ll be back next time we are in S Africa.

My family and I did the hot air balloon walked with lions, pet a cheetah, and fed elephants. Each encounter were absolutely beautiful, amazing and a dream come true. Mike, our tour guide, took so many photos. He is funny, knowledgeable and such a wonderful person. He took care of us and made this adventure very enjoyable.

Mike Vorster was our guide to the monkey and elephant tour. He was prompt, professional, and highly informative on the animals and the surrounding area. I look forward to coming back to Johannesburg and doing more tours with Wildside tours.
It was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this company to everyone. This truly was a once in a lifetime experience.

Elephant Encounter
I thoroughly enjoyed my encounter with Three, Hanna and Marti. It was an amazing experience to be up close and interact with the elephants. Immediately, I was in awe of these beautiful majestic animals. Respectfully touching, feeding and walking along side of them was absolutely incredible. Tim Smith, our tour guide was exceptional; he was thoughtful, accommodating, knowledgeable and had a wicked delightful sense of humor.
I highly recommend Wildside Tours will definitely book with them again.
