Met our guide Christine at the Immigration Museum. She was very personable, informative and had many funny anecdotes to amuse us along the way, After showing us through the museum, the foodie tour stared in earnest. We began with Vietnamese street food, then on for some dumplings in China town. Along the way Christine showed us through some amazing buildings and gave us a running commentary on how each of the different cultures have helped to shape the city of Melbourne. Then on to taste some wonderful Indian food, with more anecdotes. Federation Square was next where we had an amazing feed of Octopus, Emu and pickled watermelon. Just when we thought we couldn't eat anymore, we topped it off with gelato. A truly amazing tour which I highly recommend. Thanks Christine for an exceptional experience.

I went for a Melbourne Foodie Culture tour and to be very honest, I had some of the most amazing food and experience! I've always been a fan of collecting stories and this trip was exactly that! It's well-curated, takes into consideration your food preferences, takes you to the best spots in town, I think my favourite was the Aboriginal Food Joint where we had some authentic aboriginal food and the ending where we met someone who'd gone to a gelato - school to learn how to make gelato! There are sooo many cultures here in Melbourne and it was a pure delight to be able to access them all in a span of 4 hours along with so many stories! I got some great stories for my IG - @capturesmagic so tbh FOODIE TRAILS - YOU ARE MAGIC ✨ thank you for the experience!

Our group of 4 adults really enjoyed the Foodie tour. It took us to parts of Melbourne we had never previously been and the food experiences were varied and very tasty! Our guide Kim was incredibly lovely and very informative and we especially liked hearing about Melbourne's history at the Immigration Museum. We would recommend this tour.

Appreciated starting at the Immigration Museum to set the tone for the culture of Australia & then the natural culture of the food from that history. Janet was an easy & informative guide. My preference would have been to only do one of the Asian restaurants, instead of 2 - VietNam & China. Enjoyed Mabu-Mabu the most with its indigenuous menu. Liked the spice shop - Chinese grocery so-so....rather another food or drink stop.
Other suggestion - unless walking right beside Janet, it was very difficult to hear, so I'm afraid we missed alot. Had 6 in the group. Wonder if microphones are not allowed?

Loved starting at the Immigration museum to get overview of how and why there are so many cultures represented in the Melbourne food. 5 food stops over 4hours, prefect pace. Did not feel overly stuffed at the end of days.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, and gave an interesting history of the culture. She explained where much of the food came from, and then we walked about to various restaurants t9 sample their cuisine. This is definitely a tour I’d recommend.
