Your tour starts as you meet your friendly tour guide at check in. Following check in you get geared up and follow your River guide on a 10 minute walk along the river bank until you approach a beautiful area showcasing an oasis of natural waterfalls, swimming pools, and rock formations. After exploring the waterfalls its time to get into your river tube and start your exciting journey downstream.
While floating down the Rio Bueno you will encounter a fun mix of river rapids and calming currents as you travel through the jungle setting of the River Valley. Along the trip there is a chill out spot for you to jump from a platform into the Lagoon. As the river currents fade you jump into a raft and paddle your way towards the Caribbean Sea and land at a private beach in Bengal Bay where you can relax, take a dip in the warm ocean water, and enjoy some refreshments at the beach bar.

We were looking for a cruise excursion that would be able to include our 4 year old. All of us had the best time. We were given clear instructions for meeting our shuttle, friendly and professional greeting and shuttle driver. Super comfy and clean buss. Felt very comfortable leaving the belongings we didn't want to get wet on the shuttle which met us at the pick up location. The tubing guides were great, fun, friendly and professional. Quickly fitted us up for helmets, life jackets, and tubes (which they had a large variety to accommodate all different sizes) We were grouped together in 3 rings of tubes, each with a guide paddling around us to push us from rocks, brush and banks (these guys knew the river and were working hard - constantly back and forth to keep us safe and would let us know what was coming up). They were great with our 4 year old. You walk a short distance to get in the river and our guide asked if he could carry our son - who had some much fun up on his shoulders. The float is broken up in to the tubing, pause for a place you can jump in the river (notice our guide was right there to assist and keep our little one safe if needed) and then we raft out to the ocean and enjoy a warm shallow exclusive beach area. We were not packed in with other tours like the other tube adventures we looked at. Just their company on the river. There were a couple times we had a massive down pour and no one cared because we were already wet and having so much fun. Would have stayed in ocean longer but had to go because of lightning. Our shuttle driver offered to stop for shopping or lunch. We were all from the same cruise and opted for lunch. He took us to a yummy and reasonably priced road side restaurant that several locals were eating and we enjoyed great jerk chicken before being dropped off as close as we could have been to our port area. Our boys raved (4, 9, 12) how much fun they had (no complaining, even with rain). Super family friendly, super professional and super safe feeling. We had a great Jamaican experience thanks to River Rapid Waterfalls. Pick up was at 10:00am, about a 30 minute ride to the river start location, same on return and we were back at the port shortly after 2:00pm with the stop for lunch.

Gia and Kurt were our friendly greeters and Kurt was a safe and respectful driver. Our River Tubing guide Sanjay “CJ” was amazing! He was so fun and made us laugh throughout the tubing adventure! He was experienced, safe & very knowledgeable! This was our favorite adventure on our week’s vacation!

The river tubing experience was awesome! We had a great introduction of the plan and safety. Davian got us set up and on our journey and he was a very good guide. He took care of us, made it fun, and told us a lot about Jamaica. Davian made the tubing extra fun! The water was great and very relaxing. I highly recommend tubing with River Rapids.

Davian was an amazing tour guide down the river! He allowed us plenty of time to explore the waterfall, jump off the bridge, and even caught us a crab! 10/10 recommend this and would definitely do this again!

Fun day!
The driver for the day was named Green. He was very entertaining in the van providing a detailed history of Jamaica on the way out and kind of a quiz on the way back. It actually had us remembering dates, places etc. He had the whole van engaged and participating. Interesting ride on Jimmy Cliff Boulevard, statue of Hussein Bolt, gift shop and time to take a photo with the Montego Bay sign etc.
The guides on the tubing were great - Our guide was named Big Ben. He stayed in the water and kept you safe and away from obstacles. We were tied together as a group and made a stop to jump off a bridge. (optional) You exit the tubes at some point and transfer to rafts. A short raft ride away is the beach with bathrooms and a changing area. Big Ben made the tubing alot of fun!
One piece of advice: the 3 1/2 hours turned into close to 7 due to part of the group coming late so we got a late start and then there was tons of traffic. Neither of this was the tour company's fault but just to be safe, allow extra time.

Ive been to Jamaica 4x and this was my first time doing this excursion. It was everything! Loved being able to walk up to the mini waterfall, still powerful, water felt cold and amazing. Then tubing down the river and jumping off the stair bridge. I cant remember our guides name but he was fun to be around and I'm glad we were linked with him. Definitely will come back to the river!

Starting with our driver Kevin, he was really nice and friendly, on our drive he told us about the history of some the places which was nice. When we got there our tour guide was amazing, the water was really nice which my boyfriend really enjoyed. We’ll definitely book them again next time we visit.

This was a great excursion but not at all what was described. The drive to the start of the river was close to 1.5 hours. Our driver kept the drive entertaining by providing trivia about Jamaica and pointing out key sights. When we first arrived, we were given life jackets, a helmet and a tube. We were then taken to waterfalls. You were given an opportunity to get your head dunked in the waterfalls. The walk was slippery but the guides were there to lend a hand as needed. Then we started tubing. Each tube was lashed together to make a circle. The guide was on a separate tube and worked incredibly hard keeping the group from hitting the sides of the river and rocks. It was a lot of fun! Then 3/4 down the river we stopped and switched to a raft. We took the raft out to the ocean and ended up on a beach. The driver was there at the beach waiting to pick us up. We didn’t spend time hanging out at the beach. Then on the drive back, we stopped at a souvenir shop, a Montego Bay sign, and other short stops. The entire trip took 7 hours. We only wish we had known it would be this long of a trip so that we could bring lunch, snacks, and water.
