I hardly ever write a bad review, but the 2-Day Sacred Portugal Trip was a disappointment.
Primarily because we were rushed from one spot to the next with very little time to spend at any one of them... except Fatima. Which, after a short visit to the Lady of Fátima Sanctuary, we were dropped off at our hotel with instructions to be in the lobby the following day by 5:30pm for pickup and return to Lisbon (??!). We had not expected to spend an entire day in Fatima, so we spent the night in the hotel, grabbed a local bus first thing in the morning and returned to Lisbon.
Secondly, because our tour guide was barely understandable in English.
The “Portuguese” lunch at Nazaré was good (though we cut it short so we would have more than 10 minutes to walk around the village). The breakfast at our hotel the following morning was very good. Dinner at our hotel was not included, though our Viator itinerary clearly stated it was (up to 32 euros per pax).
We have had such a good experience with Viator in the past that we’ll not let this one tour keep us from coming back.

I'm really glad I took this tour, as it was important to me to go to the Fatima evening candlelight procession, and this 2-day arrangement allowed me to do that. On Day 1, I was with a bus load of people who signed up for the 1-day tour, and before the end of that day I was dropped off at the Fatima hotel where I spent the night. Only problem was I had signed up for the Deluxe hotel, and the tour company did not have record of this. This isn't the first time that there was miscommunication or lack of communication between Viator and local tour companies, so be aware of the details of your purchase and have a printout. On Day 2, the tour group picks you up at your hotel late afternoon, so you return to Portugal with another bus load of people who took the 1-day tour that day. The tour company initially went to the wrong hotel, then they found me at the Deluxe hotel. That was miscommunication within the tour company.

This was the perfect tour to visit different sights in Portugal and to visit Fatima. The accommodations at Fatima were simple but more than sufficient for our needs. Our hotel was just across from the main Fatima sights and was easily accessed. Pick up the next day was an easy return to the city.

This tour was good. But it can be booked as day trip. Not enough to see for 2 days. It ended in Fatima. They drop you there and pick up is 530pm the next day. not much to do in this city except see the shire and shop.The hotel was very nice, the food was good
. I did find a tour out to the village where the children grew up. so I took that but it is only a 1/2 day tour and you pay extra 19 per person it is worth it.
I would recommend booking this tour as a day trip unless you plan on taking the side tour to the village.

Two day trip is a must if you want more than one hour in Fatima. Lunch provided was excellent and much more than expected. Good, local, sit down, three course meal! We chose superior hotel and accommodation was "superior" and location was excellent.

Enjoyed the tour and extra time the overnight in Fatima provided ... possibly could of come back to Lisbon a little earlier the next day

Elena is the tour guide from hell! She was rude to the passengers, telling people over the microphone to stop talking while she is talking. She also individually approached those who were late in coming back to the bus to scold them. Apparently, I was the only one from the group who was staying overnight in Fatima, and when I asked her about the arrangements, she quickly shrugged that the company did not tell her anything about it. When she did find out the details, she told me to cross to the other side of the Fatima sanctuary with my luggage to check in by myself, because according to her the bus is too big to go there. But in fact, another bus went near the hotel to pick me up the next day!
As to the tour itself, 50 minutes is too short to enjoy Obidos. It should also be made clear in the description that the cloisters of Batalha are NOT included in this tour. There were not much information or guidance given in Fatima -- I was just left on my own on the second day except for the transfer back to my hotel. I definitely think this tour could have been better with a different guide.
