This trip was everything I wanted it to be and more. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide/driver than Karl!!! He was amazing, has great stories, extra stops, so accommodating, and overall so much fun! We had a great group. Didn’t know where to start with all that Iceland has to offer and this trip has a little bit of almost everything. Would recommend again and again both the tour and specifically the amazing Karl!!’

The most amazing trip! You get to see more than a little bit of everything. The sights are unbelievable, our guide Karl was the BEST, and there was so much less stress since they took care of lodging and driving and most logistics. I would recommend this trip 100%.

Note. Due to how people work in Iceland this tour is a 6 day tour & day 7 is a 1 day tour. It also mixes people on other tours. Normally not a problem.

The 6 day tour was excellent. The guide Hjalti was really good too. Being on a multi day tour meant we found out a lot more about how people live, believe and history of Iceland. As it was winter we didn’t see everything on the tour, there were some changes to timetables & we spent less time at each sight. This was fine as it was December so shorter days of light & a lot of snow/weather changes meant there was no alternative. Please consider this when you go. It was also a lot safer because we drove in weather extremes that required experience.
In terms of the Northern Lights this is only information on how they appear and varied each day depending upon where the hotel was. The tour guide can not bring you out at night to specific places as it exceeds their allowed time to work. We weren’t told that some hotels would contact you if they appeared & I don’t think where we stayed would generally do so. We did not see them as it was either too light or too much cloud coverage.
Note. There were some on our tour that did struggle physically with the tour. You do need to walk to most sights with some involving a lot of steps. This is not the fault of the tour but just how Iceland is.

Unfortunately, evening of day 6 and day 7 was a disaster. The 1 day tour was cancelled due to bad weather and we + 3 others in our group had already been dropped off at the hotel for the night of day 6. Artic Adventures forgot that the 1 day tour included people on the 7 day tour. This meant we were told by email and no information was given on how we would get back to Reykjavik the following day. I had to phone them in a panic as they were closing soon and it took a lot of different phone calls to sort it. The others did not know until I told them as they had not read their emails.
Luckily, there was another tour guide at the hotel for another tour that sorted it all out for us in the end. He had to change what customer service told me because he was only told about the other 3 in our group by me.
We got back to Reykjavik the next day without any problems.
However, we should not have been told the tour was cancelled by only an email and there should have been arrangements in place if they have to cancel a tour that is part of another tour. They could have asked the receptionist to inform us in addition to an email. It should not have been me and then another tour guide to sort this out.

If day 7 had not happened we would definitely have put 5 out of 5, which is a shame.

It has been one of the best trips I have ever had, I went alone and I did not feel alone at all!!! They guided me well, they showed me all of Iceland and the guide was always super friendly!! Without a doubt if I return I would contact them again. They are super punctual in the itinerary and help you look for the northern lights!!! I booked it in advance and the whole activity arrived quickly, everything went very smoothly and the hotels were excellent. The explanations, everything in general, were very good!!

A 100% recommended trip!

Starting with the guide, Vjeran, he is passionate about his work and will do everything in his power to give the best experience to each of the travelers, he is very fun and if he can he takes us to extra places to have a better travel experience. complete.

All accommodations are very beautiful and comfortable, each with its own style.

Definitely, with each passing day it gets better and better, it is a trip that I will always have as one of my favorite experiences.

Definitely, to know and enjoy, you have to have someone who knows and is passionate about sharing their culture. Wonderful tour full of adventure, food, laughter and super good humor. Thank you Vjeran for such an amazing experience. I would definitely do it again!

The amount of territory covered and sites we saw were amazing. Several highlights stand out-visiting the ice cave, spending the night at an old farm house with an incredible home cooked meal, visiting waterfalls, geysters, horse farm...my only complaint was the 6 day guide - Omar. He was uninformative and the group learned very litte from him. Our guide on the 7th day was Sarah and she was absolutely amazing, providing more history and information in one day than we learned from Omar in 6 days!

I do not recommend using this company. I booked four tours through them during my two weeks in Iceland. Two of the tours were with their company and the other two were not. The “other “ tours were great from beginning to end. The two tours with arctic were not great. On the first tour the driver drove right past us at the bus stop and left us behind. After I called arctic they offered a refund but I asked for the driver to come back because I wanted to take the tour. 30 mins later she came back for us. The next tour I had booked was a 7 day tour which was absolutely horrible. It started with the driver stating that the bus was full and he hated tourists. That about sums us the rest of the trip with him. John made my trip miserable until the end. He did not “guide” us; was racist , rude and condescending and was a reckless driver. Do yourself a favor and use another tour company. Reykjavik day tours and your day tours we both great. Both tours had great drivers/ guides

Our seven day trip was a bit customized, so it wasn't exactly the same as the standard tour. But it was excellent. Iceland is essentially unique, considering its lava and ice caves and black beaches, along with its waterfalls and glaciers. And our guide, Bjorn, was excellent.

I just returned home from Iceland, a trip I booked with 4 of my Clients (Travel Agent here). We completed the 7 Day Complete journey with Vjeran and this review is very specific to him. We had a total group of 12 Guests, including myself & my 4 Guests. There were a few miscommunications at the beginning regarding minor changes to the Itinerary that I was not aware of (not related to Vjeran), but nothing stopped this from being the most amazing trip and that was simply due to Vjeran. As a Travel Agent, I have been on many tours throughout the years and Vjeran is absolutely the best Guide I have ever experienced. From the moment we stepped on the bus, we felt welcomed and knew it was going to be the adventure of a lifetime. The enthusiasm this man showed us throughout our journey was above and beyond. Knowledgeable, energetic, fun, thoughtful and completely capable. Vjeran truly knows how to read his group and tailored all of our activities based on that. Yes, we followed the Itinerary, but there were many little quick stops, great eateries & side trips that he shared with us, simply because he learned what we wanted, understood who we were, early on and helped us experience everything we possibly could. I could literally go on and on, but suffice to say, if I take another group to Iceland (which I hope to next year), I will be requesting Vjeran as my Guide! Team Wonderful forever! Thank you Vjeran for sharing your beautiful & amazing home with all of us, we appreciate you.
