Pros:

The tour guide is a nice person. The tour offers sightseeing opportunities, allowing you to see various landmarks and attractions.

Cons:

The tour is expensive for what it offers. It mainly involves walking around, with few unique experiences. If you have previous travel experience in Asia, you may find this tour lacking novelty and excitement.

The tour guide repeatedly referenced "when Europeans came to Australia", which seemed to inaccurately conflate British colonial history, potentially legitimizing British colonialism inappropriately.

An excellent, well-organized tour of the Tamborine and Springbrook natural areas. Most of the tour is pleasant, leisurely driving through sceneric natural areas with a few stops for some easy hikes to waterfalls and other beautiful scenes. Bottled water is provided, and there are plenty of restroom opportunities along the way (be sure to bring hand sanitizer since most public bathrooms don't have soap or hot water). There is a 1.5 hour lunchtime allocation to self-explore the quaint tourist village of Mount Tamborine which offers plenty of coffee, cafes, fudge, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and arts/crafts. James is an excellent host, clearly experienced, with perfect knowledge of how to lead a pleasant and entertaining daytrip. He has an ideal personality and attitude that makes for a perfect tour guide! The only suggestion I have is to offer guests a wine tasting option as an alternative to the glow worm cave since the location offers both.

Guide was excellent. Passionate, knowledgeable, and went out his way to ensure he provided a great experience.

Went off tour to show us animals in the wild including a koala, kangaroos, and wallaby.

His enthusiasm for wildlife and stealth mode walking to find them reminded me of Steve Irwin.

The National parks you go to are free to enter so you are paying for the guided experience and the transport. If you have a car, you can easily access the parks and hike the trails yourself but you will probably miss the wildlife as they are camouflaged well.

The glow worm cave isn’t great. Hard to tell if the worms are real or just led lights. Seemed like a highly artificial environment. So the least favorite part of the day. The stops for shopping and eating are great.

The guide was friendly and is local. He knows so much about the local history, about the botany, the animals, and the reptiles. Truly enjoyed his commentary throughout the trip.

This was a very enjoyable tour. Be ready for a long day with lots of walking up and down mountains.

Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make sure the group stayed together, and got to see as much wildlife as possable.

There's a 90 minute stop for lunch in a small town, which has lots of options but you will need to bring cash if you plan on getting something to eat.

The 4☆ part of this review is completely regarding the "glow worm cave". It looks nothing like pictures or videos you might have seen online or on other listings for this tour. Please go in with very low expectations regarding this part of the tour.

Pick up was quick and efficient. Our group was small and intimate, and our tour guide was amazing! He knew the area and took us places to have the best chance to see wildlife. We saw all the places listed on the tour, but we also saw the following in the wild: koala, kangaroos, wallabies, pademelon (with a joey), and ferrets. His knowledge was incredible and he was personable to our questions/requests. I highly recommend this tour!
