Experience a whole different side of Washington, DC during our Monuments By Night tour! Climb into our all-electric Red Roadsters and tour the National Mall in style while enjoying the moonlit magic of the monuments, White House, and Capitol Hill!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Arrive 15 minutes early to join our small group tour of the National Mall on board our all-electric 7 person vehicle — a sustainable option that is perfect for covering the huge area and many monuments in DC.
2. {
Move through the major monument areas, marveling at the dramatic effect of the floodlights on the stately architecture. Admire the Jefferson Memorial and Martin Luther King Memorial, bathed in indirect light from the Tidal Basin.
3. {
Take in the FDR Memorial with its cascading waterfalls and sculptures depicting President Roosevelt’s four terms.
4. {
See the illuminated Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. Then visit the WWI and WWII Memorials, the Korean War Veterans Memorial
5. {
And, finally, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
6. {
Continue past Washington DC’s most famous address: the White House. Keep your camera ready to test out your night photography skills as you stop at the sites.

Continue on towards Capitol Hill to be astounded by the Capitol Building. End your tour on a high note by asking your guide for some recommendations for the rest of your stay in the city. Your eco-friendly, open-air electric cart allows you to enjoy fresh air and great views as you tour the city. Your guide also points out festivals, exhibits, demonstrations or special events that may be occurring in this lively city. After a 2-hour tour, you'll return to the Smithsonian complex where your tour ends.

• Suitable for all physical fitness levels
• This is a small group experience, with each electric cart limited to a max of 7 people. Whilst we do our best to seat groups together, we aren’t able to guarantee this and at times, groups may be asked to sit on separate carts.
• This tour runs year-round and will proceed rain or shine unless such weather constitutes a dangerous situation. In case of rain we strongly recommend wearing rain gear, ponchos and having an umbrella with you. The final decision on cancelling a tour will occur at least 1 hour prior to departure and all possible guests will be contacted.
• Carts accommodate most types of infant seats and we encourage parents to bring their own. We can provide an infant seat, as long as a guest calls us at least 48 hours before the tour and informs us of the age and weight of the infant.
• Wheelchairs can be accommodated, but not provided. We must be advised at time of booking if bringing your own wheelchair to ensure we can accommodate your request on your chosen date and departure time. All request are subject to availability.
• The itinerary and its order of stops are subject to change at any time. Monuments visited may change due to local road or monument closure which are beyond our control. Most travelers can participate
• Your tour covers the National Mall in an all-electric vehicle. We're committed to reducing the environmental impact of vehicle-based tourism in Washington DC, which makes up the vast majority of tours given in this city. Make a "green" difference by seeing the Mall via electric transportation!

I booked this on a quick 3 night visit to DC with my teen son. This tour was an excellent way to cover a lot of ground comfortably and hit the high points of DC. This was a summer visit so being a night was great as the sun was going down.
We had a very good tour operator who helped make the tour informative and interesting. He went above and beyond for us!!!

We enjoyed seeing the major sights of DC lit up at night, the open air car, and of course, learning all the behind-the-scenes info. Our guide, Freddie, was so fun and interesting. Good times!

Tour guide was entertaining and very knowledgeable of DC area. Open air car and small group was perfect and relaxing. We saw everything on our list and our middle school child was pleased to see sites just studied in school close up. We can say we saw DC in one day.

Dr. Cook was an amazing tour guy and I feel like we had the best to our guide that we could’ve hoped for while visiting here for the first time. It was so informative and engaging. I would definitely recommend Doctor for anyone who wants to get to the city and enjoy the sites along with the history.

I really enjoyed this tour because it gave a different perspective to DC given that it was done at night. Additionally, it was an extremely hot summer day and participating in the tour at night was a bit cooler. our tour guide, Katherine, was very knowledgeable about the history of the city. I really enjoyed her insight and stories about DC. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see DC’s attractions lit up.
