We learned so much history and got a firsthand look at the area! Looking at the border between the two countries and being able to see North Korea was a highlight.

Our family had a nice tour learning about the history of Korea and the DMZ.
There were plenty of stops along the way where you could refuel and visit the restroom.
Be aware that the walk in the tunnel is physically demanding with a 350m decline/climb followed by a tunnel with a low ceiling. I’m 180 cm and had very few spots where I could stand up straight. The tunnel part isn’t mandatory and you are advised to skip it if you have any health issues or are afraid of narrow spaces.
I’d also recommend bringing a snack. Our tour started at 7 am with a pickup at our hotel and it’s ending around 2.30 pm and there isn’t a lunch break. You can also buy snacks and drinks along the way.

It was so interesting to see the history and thriving life of the demilitarized zone. The guide was lively and very knowledgeable, so the experience felt very smooth. You can’t get this anywhere else in the world.

She gave a great summary of Korean history. We enjoyed our trip with Ms. Yoon to the DMZ. This is an amazing tour to bring family and anyone visiting Korea to better understand the country’s progress in such a short amount of time.

Yoon was so kind and a fun tour guide! It was nice to have someone give us in depth information about the DMZ. Make sure you do the tunnel and try the soy bean ice cream.
